Is this one of our Club or forum members? If they are or not, I wish for both father and son to have a speedy recovery! Sad for them as they were merely protecting their cars. What is this world coming to? I took this article from The Star Online (30th March 2009).Robbers shoot heroic duoBy RASHITHA A. HAMIDAMPANG: A man and his father were shot and injured when they got into a scuffle with two robbers who entered their house to rob their luxury cars here last night.The robbers gained entry into the house’s compound at Jalan Dagang 1 as the main gate of the house was left open.It happened just shortly after the victims and their family returned home.Ampang deputy OCPD Supt Amiruddin Jamaluddin said that the robbers directed the men to hand over the keys to their BMW 5 series and Honda CRV which were parked outside the house.He said after handing over the keys, the 27-year-old businessman identified only as Mohammad, had put up a struggle with one of the robbers.His accomplice had then used his gun to shoot at both Mohammad and his father.In the 8.30pm incident, Mohammad was shot in his stomach while his father, identified as Mahadi, 60, was shot on his leg.“The robbers then immediately walked out from the house, leaving the car keys and escaped by foot,” Supt Amiruddin said when met at the scene.Mohammad and his father were rushed to the Ampang hospital.Both are reported to be in stable condition.Supt Amiruddin also said that the wives were unharmed in the incident and police have not ruled out robbery as the motive.“Their target was the luxury cars parked in the house ,” he said.Supt Amiruddin added that three shots were fired during the incident.
