I've been curious if anyone have seen & inspected this E39. I see the dealer have been advertising it for 3 months. This dealer is in jalan ipoh not far from Bomin. When I was looking for my Ci 4 months ago, this was one of the dealer I went to but this white E39 was not there at the time. Why have no one bought it? Looks good from the picture. :D

Car's been advertised on Motor Trader for the past few issues too bro.

Looks like a nice clean ride, but judging from the amount of time the car has remained unsold [& being a 530i = rare], it does seem odd...

I took a look at this car a few weeks before I got my 525i. I think it's been resprayed before - there were a few missing stickers here and there, traces of overspray and the engine seemed pretty rough when it started up - I went to the dealer unannounced - I found that when I told dealers I was coming, they'd start the engine WAAAAYYY in advance to hide any start-up problems...lol!

quite a number of people are looking for E39 530i.. it's curious why this unit still isn't sold.

plenty of lookers but not willing to pay the price ... high loan?

tried it few months ago,, yep engine bit rough.. it needs a new oil separator, thats all... which the dealer is willing to pay

its almost a standard practice fr dealers to gv their cars a new coat of cheapo paint

Biasa la tu cant blame the dealer as well, where else the previous owner can dump the car if got problem? Kasi trade in je la.

They have nice cars at their yard but 50% of your mind tell to be very cautious. Good idea on coming to view unannounced.

this is not an ori m-sport... so better check properly if the dealer is trying to sell this as one

Saw this car before with a friend of mine.. it's original colour is grey..if i'm not mistaken, it was like 4-5 months ago.
Engine was rough....

No one bought it because roadtax is expensive, malaysian people mostly like new local car because its new and low maintainance.

Not the same car or the 530 in particular but another ride that have just been RE-ADVERTISE by car dealer in cheras. Must be something wrong with this 525.

I'm sure enthusiast will be interested no matter the roadtax.

Yup I dont want to be like most malaysian. Roadtax is once a year. 3.0cc is still quite reasonable. Ur not buying new car so insurance will not be high. Its always the best to get the highest cc u can afford for BMW. Or just settle with Malaysian or Japan car

I have seen the car last week after being impressed by the picture. actual condition not good. the car left under hot sun all this while and rubber parts become hardened and brittle. engine cant start but the salesman claimed that due to no petrol.

I think I've said this many times. Where do owner dispose their problematic car?

True, but sometimes still can get good condition cars as owners are not free / prepared to deal direct.

I may agree with u. But it may not all the used car is problematic. My dad owned a M54B22 2yrs back, brought from used car dealer also. After owned the car bout 2yrs, never encounter any major repair but is just normal maintain of the heart.

I'm not saying all used car dealer bad. My question was "where ddo owner dispose their problematic car?"

Its your money. So its up to you to decide. For me look is 1 thing. maintenance & history is another.

Yes bro. I understand wat u trying to said. No hard feeling bout it :).

Most important for buying used car is bout the condition of the car. Not the look only.
