Check oil sign appear why?

Hi all sifuI have problem with my e90 after a ride about 30 min the check oil sign always appear and after I top up some engine oil nothing change the sign is still there.So I get back to my dealer he said maybe is a oil sensor problem.Any sifu have this problem before?Or my dealer use a wrong engine oil ? Any best engine oil for BMW?TQ

Yes. I have heard a fair share of faulty oil sensor encounters. Nothing to do with wrong type of engine oil. There's no such thing as best engine oil because different oil suite different driving style. Performance oil is less protective and protective oil is less performing. Just make sure its 5w-30 fully synthetic because Authorised Service Center uses this grade. I'm using 0w-30..
