hello guys wanna ask your inputs on 2 stuff1. Will a silver E36 coupe look nice with CF hood? There's a chop shop selling, but i'm not to sure about the looks. Will it look "japanese"? FYI, i'm still using standard bumper. 2.. I bought a set of rims (BBS RX), which is in nice condition except for the lip. Will refurbishing/repolishing/repainting reduce the value of the rims?

How much? And which chop shop selling?

It will be nice for a CF hood and some weight reduction

Can give me a call if it is for Sedan. :D

it's for coupes/Ti..i think weight saving about 30 pounds versus stock.dunno if it's worth it. i mean for 30 pounds just remove the rear seats and you'll get more than 30 pounds weight saving. basics calculation is that you'll gain 0.1s for every 100lbs you lose.
selling about 1.6K which for me is pretty expensive for something cosmetic.

dude, it's not only how much weight saved, it's also where you save the weight from.

See your car engine in front, if you changed to cf bonnet, it will make your front slightly lighter. If you take out the rear seats, then you'll make your rear slightly lighter. in both ways it will affect the balance on your car thus affect dynamics/handling. Of course for 30 pounds it will only have a slight effect.

It's not expensive if you consider the original hood is already around the same price or more, brand new. If I were you, I'd go for it anytime. CF hoods for e36 don't come by so easily so it will be a unique part for your car and if you import new ones it easily cost more than RM3000.

If you want a cheaper alternative do join our cf hood group buy at the parts for sale section as we will be producing new ones for approx RM1350 if there is enough demand.
