Bro Thule,

If you are thinking of car wraps in a few years it will be a waste of money as Stone chips will already be on your car. Better to wrap it now while it's still the ori paint and save you money from repainting it again when you decide to wrap it then.

I basing on the fact if its a clear wrap. If it's those color wraps.... if the chips are deep enough it will still be seen on the color wraps but might hide the small chips.

Your car your call bro! Congrats on the Posh !

Bro YF,
I've already done my PPF as soon as I'd done installing body kit. Can't heart the fact that the paint chip off easily. I should have made it clearer that I wanted to wrap my car with color wraps sometime in the future once I get bored with current one :) actually I already have a color combinations in mind but like I said, it won't be too soon. Need to fix what's important first.
I'll post the updates in "Other Makes" section from time to time but the process might be slow so bear with it :)

Just tried another coating shop, this time decided on Protech MC since I've been passing by it for years!

Initial impression seems positive, the coat eels pretty thick and substantial. Gloss is very good as can be seen on the pix. Has both depth and lustre ala good wax. Their attention to detail is also very good which seems to be a trait that is being missed out by quite a few of the coating shop.

Another point that compelled me to try was the fact that the sales person was very knowledgeable about the product and has very realistic recommendation about upkeep and maintenance of the coat. Their interior cleaning service is also not bad, full leather steam, clean and condition. The leather now looks nice, supple and not glossy.

Will post more once I've used this one longer! :)

Hi Guys,

As promised, I will update from time to time on the durability of the Ceramic Pro coating. I recently took a 4 days road trip to JB & Singapore. Many bugs died along the way as seen from the attached 'before wash' photo. There was not much I could do to avoid these bugs. These bugs were left on the car for the entire four days under heat to warn the other bugs.

Took it to the car wash on the fifth night. Look and behold, no stains left behind as the coating just made it easy to wash off. Refer to attached 'after wash' photo for the spanking clean front end. Sorry for the dim illumination.

By the way, shine still remains even though I only wash my car once a week or sometimes every fortnight if I am away. Those whom are looking for an easy maintenance coating should give this a try. Will post more when I have more to comment on the coating from time to time.

Another day another shine!

Yours Faithfully.

-To form 9H hardness, use INVINCIBLE | PRIMER as a finishing or 1-step polish prior to application of COSMIC.
-Cosmic can be applied by itself but will not form 9H hardness. POLISHANGEL® USA recommends two coats of COSMIC applied 2 hours apart.
-Unlike other liquid coating systems, POLISHANGEL® GLASSCOAT™ is a creamy constancy which applies easier than any other coating on the market.

After seeing the recent result of the ProtechMC coat on the Audi, got itchy and decided to send a different car there. The result:

Hi YF,

Just got my car (520i, alpine white) from AB a week ago. So and I'm sending it to ceramic pro tomorrow. I was wondering how the interior coating is working out for you. If it's worth it or perhaps just the exterior coating (silver package) will do. Please let me know.

Thanks,

MY

Hey My 520,

Hope I am not too late to put in input. Congrats on your new ride. Ceramic pro is a good choice as it's also a popular choice of many in this forum. One of rind that did his bimmer has never been happier with the shine and meticulous detailing job.

I am using an Alpine White as well. So far I am happy with the coating. Minimal maintenance that keeps the car shinny and clean.

As for the interior coating, in some other interior coating, the leather seats tends to be slippery but the ceramic pro coating retains its original feel. If your car is new,you might not see much of a difference. So,it's basically up to you.

Heard they have a new coating for the rims that keeps it shinny and less dirty. Give that a try and let us know the outcome.

Mention to Darren that you are from BMW Club and i think he will get some discounts for you. Alternatively, mention Danny with the Alpine White 520d...perhaps get more discount. Hahahahaha.

Please post photos of your car here for others to see your pride and joy! Another day another shine.

Yours Faithfully.

Hi YF,

Just got back from Ceramic Pro. Thank you for your advice. and i mentioned your name also.

Firstly great service from the guys at Ceramic pro. i mean they know their product and the service is great. from explaining to recommending and even getting me a cab. after that i was even updated regularly on the progress and sent pictures.

So here's how it played out...... i sent my car around 10.30am today (i was late, i was supposed to go around 9.30 but kiara to sunway was kinda jammed...ldp... the highway from hell).

Reached, met Ben, he was great. took me though the products and packages. i opted for silver cause even though gold package looked like a good buy, i didn't really want to spend more cause already spent about 15k extra on reverse camera, tinting and number plate at AB last week. so didn't want to overdo it. i just wanted something that protects me against bird droppings and light scratches, my car being white and all....so silver package.

I opted for the interior coating also cause Ben told me it was good and that it also makes the interior look cleaner/darker (ill show pics in a bit). Also YF said it retained original feel, so ok. Ben also assured me that the interior coating wouldn't mess with my new car smell :)

So Ben got me a cab and i left my car in their good hands. i was told they were going to wash my car first and correct the paint. i told them that its showroom condition since i only drove it once from the showroom back home and i haven't driven it till today cause i use uber most of the time. but they said that there would be swirls or something like that even if it just came from the showroom.

Anyway after i left i received and update within 2 hours :

Paint correction, 3 step polish :

50 : 50 comparison on interior coat (enhanced color, uv protection) :

Ceramic pro coating application :

Infrared curing :

was then given pick up time.

went there around 5 to 6 pm. Checked out car. asked for minor interior coating touch up here and there and was told that could come back anytime for touch up if i wasn't satisfied or if there any little spots that were missed. good after sales service.

was given a bottle of liquid (something to do with prolonging lifespan of coating) to apply every month after wash. i hope my car wash guys knows how to do it. was also given a minor fibre cloth cause i have to wipe my car dry if it gets wet within the first 72 hours.

overall.....good service. will continue to monitor.

YF, i got the rim and brake caliper coating. its a new product. i guess it protects from dirt and scratches also. anyway they said they would call you to come in for it.

i think i can't upload anymore. it keeps saying upload failed, so ill post final pics in next post.

Been using Ceramic Pro on my Car for almost 4years now. This is just the Perfect Coating for Cars in my honest View. Car still look like New until this very moment! Perfect

Hi MY520,

I am glad you had a pleasant experience with them. The updates from time to time on the progress of you car only makes you eager to be reunited with your ride as soon as possible. The updates even though cost nothing to them but is really meaningful to the owners.

As for their detailing job, it is good as expected. I too had to point out some missed spots in the interior as probably the car inside too dark for the naked eyes! hahaha. Was I right when I said it retained the original feel? Not slippery right?

As for the exterior, mirror finishing is always a welcome sight. My car still gets the looks from strangers from time to time. a nice feeling to have and can only be experience if you have done the coating. Do share if you get this as well. hahahaha.

Watch how the water droplets races up the bonnet after a rain when you start moving. Its fun as you see some droplets forming into bigger droplets. Keep an eye on the road though! Will take a video of that someday but never have a passenger at the time.

Please do share your opinion on the rim or wheel protection as I have no time to swing by to get it done. Post photos if possible so that other owners can have a look as well. Before and after always good. I am hoping for something like a water repellent or dirt resistant effect. My rims are not as simple as yours. my is the standard 520d rims which has many spokes. On a side note, if you do decide to sell your rims, let me know as I kinda like your design. Sell cheap cheap yea!

For now, enjoy the ride and be proud of your ride. You worked hard for it, so enjoy it whenever you are in your ride. Your own mobile personal space (as I always refer to it to my home minister).

Another day another spanking shinny ride!

Yours Faithfully.

VAL 101,

That's a beautiful F10 ///M5 ! Shinny black...I likey! After 4 years and still looking like new? This makes the Ceramic Pro really worth the money. Do you do any yearly maintenance on the coating?

Additionally, I got 2 non related question :
1. Is the back seat monitor an add on after market option or it comes with the car?
2. I have never experience the ///M5 raw power. Can take me for a car ride arr?? Want to be inspired!
