Im managed to use my steering wheel buttons to control volume up-down, track selection etc using centrafuse. the ibus interface is a chepo one in the ebay tht i bought. Not resler. the software i use to interpret the steeringwheel key press is ibuscomm. it will broadcast the equivalent keypress to centrafuse for controls. so if ur using centrafuse as the incar entertainment interface, ur steering wheel buttons is still functional. u need to map the proper hotkeys in centrafuse and assign it to ibuscomm. a huge move forward for my incar pc proj :top:

skinhead, good to know this, thanks for the information!

Now when can we see some sneak peek of your project.. :pcguru:

yea aidil, soon i will be installing it on my e39 once i finish fabricate the bezel. for now its just mere testing all the sowftware+hardware and its compatibility on my old laptop. for now most of the hardware like the 7" touchscreen monitor, usb gps, reverse camera, ibus interface etc are working very fine with the intended software & driver.

fyi, ive tested and confirm tht i can control the steering wheel buttons ( vol up,down, seek forward etc ..) in the window environment. means tht if ur runnning ur win media player, u can also control ur volume up0down etc from ur steering wheel...fantastic...

Good to hear good feedback for ibuscomm, do you mind giving a link to where you downloaded it?

Bezel is an important part of the project because you hide everything else away. Janus's bezel are sensibly priced I think

Just tested the link, this is for ibus communicator not ibuscomm. I used this one and not very stable for me. Need to check my system again if this is working fine for you..

I don't think the CD changer is connected since I used to have DICE silverline pro connected there. Does the software continue to work after the pc is brought up from hibernation?
