Car jerking at low rpm (bmw 525i japan specs)

had mine fixed last last a few weeks back..turns out it was bad sparkplugs and a couple of bad ignition coils(cyl 1 and 6).

car now runs perfectly..no jerks,no short-breaths,just creamy smooth pick-ups from low rpms.

Same problem with mine, changed 2 ignition coils and so far so good. Hopefully that's it and no other serious problem.

look out for your alternator.. mine failed on me,had to replace it together with the work done on the coils.

plus,was told by the car's seller that the alternator is not included in the warranty cover,apparently it's "wear and tear" so i had to foot the bill myself.

I just changed my cylinder No 3 coil for RM220. Self diagnosed using Peake Research FCR. So far, no jerking when it happened. Probably due to the position of the cylinder. Only experienced lack of power. Unable to chase the GT3. Now, ops normal.

still having the problem..tho i've learnt to ignore it for the time being.still amazed as to why the e60 has so much little niggles.didn't have these with my e30,e36,e46..

Just came back from Melbourne Motor show yesterday. The new Imprezza WRX STi spec R was a beauty. With 221kW of power and 407 NM of torque, Multi-mode Driver Controlled Centre Differential, Subaru Intelligent Drive, Subaru Intelligent Chasis, Multi-mode VDC stability control and not to mention the legendary All-Wheel Drive system. If that's not wicked, what is?

yeah,the new Impreza is indeed a superb car..a petrolhead's delight,in fact its faster than the Evo X.sadly,i'm stuck with the e60,what with the peanuts that the company is paying us,i hardly have a choice.

at least i still have my STi ver8..
