Hello,

So I've just changed the rims on my 323i recently, from the original 225/45/17 and upgraded it to 245/40/18. And what I noticed now is that, when the car is running on high speed, it feels like it's floating, I dont really know how to explain it, but yeah it's floating...... So now I'm trying to find a solution, will installing aftermarkets stabiliser bars will do the job?

Thank you sifus.

What tires are you using? I was using Nexen 8000 and had the same floating feeling at high speed (160 km above) despite having installed H & R anti roll bars. Replaced the Nexen with Michelin PSS and what a world of difference.

Herbert,
Im running on Michelin PS3.

Haris,

PS3 should not give you that high speed floating problem as my other 2 rides are also on PS3. Are the 18 inch rims original or replica? 3 weeks ago, another member with e60 complained about same high speed floating problem and later discovered problem was caused by the replica 18 inch rims. He replaced the replica with original used 18 inch rims and problem resolved.

Herbert,

Im not really sure whether its original or replica. I bought the rim for rm3500. The rim's brand is Enzo Novara.

Haris, By the way, you are using the wrong size of tyres. You are suppose to use 225/40/18 and not 245/40/18

Allan Tan is right, wrong size of tires. Herbert is spot on replica rims/cheap tires. Sifu wo.

By the way bro, do check your lower arm and or bushing, the wider and heavier rims demand more stress from them and if they are worn it can caused the floating feel.'

323i is not M sport...built in some floating effect. 323i is for comfort not for high speed.
