Guys,

Bernard did my e39 m54 525i remap 2 years ago. After remapped, my engine did feel much smoother with better low end torque. Many has asked me what gain (hp and torque) did I get after remap? All I could replied was "I just feel the difference" which isn't right. I should have done a dyno test before and after so that the gain would be documented. At least we can show the dyno charts to Bernard if we are unsatisfied with the performance after remap.

Dyno test cost about RM 100 and just go to Sunway and they are a few workshops with dyno equipment.

Hi Herbert,

Im not so familiar with Sunway workshop fro dyno test. Could pls let me know which workshop should i go? would like to see the diffrent before and after remap n probably will share it out here.

If you want a place whereby you dont have to wait like at Sunway workshops, go check out APD in Glenmarie to do your dyno.

Go to APD at Glenmarie as suggested by bro Feisaldzul.

For those who wanna remap in future, i personally recmd go 4 dyno test, i cant feel the dif and ask bernard to reinstall ori map. spent about 3-4 hrs wiv bernard, install a few maps and few tweaks, but still i cant feel the dif, to make it worst, it response become worst when climbing the slope, it fails to down shift as usual, unless u floor the pedal to max, maybe my expectation is too much. These are my personal opinion only, it might be wrong, However bernard is really gud guy, entertain all ur needs. those who aledi remap, maybe can share ur exp. here.

I feel sorry for u bro..too bad it didnt work out for u..however, in my case, the remap result was maqnificent..i didnt do dyno due to time constraint..upon meeting bernard at 2.30pm ( i believe right after he did your car), he started doing remapping to my ecu..at 4.30pm, once all settled, i took the car for a spin and the feeling was different..the car respond swiftly to every paddle press, no more sluggish 1st gear, gear change was smooth, better pickup...Shahrezan recommend me to do dyno straight away, n i did went to sunway for dyno..however, the mech did make mistakes in dyno test..sheesh..result 166.56hp (mine e60 523i 07)..give the dyno result to bernard, and he did download second remap and test again..gear change even better n smoother..have the chance to floor the gas and feel gear change at 6500rpm, awesome!! he did the 3rd remap later...overall, the car performance improve significantly, now i enjoy driving it even more..!! n thanks vr much for Shahrezan for organizing it..

Comment from Mr Bernard:

As from the dyno result , we can see a gain of 10whp(7%increase from Standard ), and 25Nm (kg-m2.57 to Nn multiply by 9.8) of torque . The torque graph in the dyno show good improvement at 3000rpm to 5750rpm. As at 3750RPM it has again of 15whp/20Nm of torque, 4750RPM gain was 15whp/ 25Nm , 5750Rpm gain shows 10whp/15nm of torque .As we can see the horse power starts to tapped at 5500rpm onwards which the car is still running on stock standard exhaust and standard filter. Good improvement for a car that has done 188,000km in mileage. I have introduce 3 map on this car which this is the best result of all .Good drivability and smooth in gear change as well after test driving . Any further result improvement ,that has to be done on the dyno to obtain the optimal results which will cost RM$250 an hour.I would like to take this opportunity to thanks all those who have supported me for the past years and done my best to achieve optimal results on their cars.

Hi guys,

Sori for the late update on the result. Well i guess the above graph has explain on the power gain after the remap session. Thanks to Bernard n all participants.
