Manage to talk to Bernard from BVO Auto of Singapore (http://www.bvo-auto.com/) for ECU remapping soon for my own car.

Bernard has asked if there is anyone else interested as he can do group remapping.

Hi Shahrezan;

Any idea whether Bernard is going to replace the ECU chip or totally reprograme the ECU? Would we be able to get back to orginal ECU setting later?

hi bro, according to bernard, he will only reprogramme the ECU.Replacing ECU chip is only for those cars manufactured before year 2000.

Note that Harbhajan have a 530i, NOT a 525i.

Guys,

Bernard did my e39 m54 525i remap 2 years ago. After remapped, my engine did feel much smoother with better low end torque. Many has asked me what gain (hp and torque) did I get after remap? All I could replied was "I just feel the difference" which isn't right. I should have done a dyno test before and after so that the gain would be documented. At least we can show the dyno charts to Bernard if we are unsatisfied with the performance after remap.

Dyno test cost about RM 100 and just go to Sunway and they are a few workshops with dyno equipment.

It could be true that average increase about 15 to 20 hp and will be best if the increase is supported with a before and after dyno chart.
