Juan Powerblow;461260 said:Bro, I'm now pretty keen after reading everyone's positive feedback and getting little assurances from local players. As I indicated earlier, my preference was to do it with a KL establishment in case something goes wrong but so far I haven't heard any issues from you guys on Bernard's offering. Besides, I'm pretty clear what I want improved after installing a number of bmw performance parts.
Just need a favor. Can you pm me Bernard's tel no. I wish to ask him a few questions first before I sign up. Thanks mate!
Guna;461262 said:Would care to share the questions you may have in mind so maybe we could also learn a thing or two?
Juan Powerblow;461276 said:Hey Guna. Certainly I would love to share the findings with everyone here. After all, that's the main objective of this Club. Sharing is Caring!
However, my questions are mainly specific to my car i.e. how conversant is Bernard with working on the MVS-80 ECU (cos some guys still can't work on this ECU in KL) and is he able to address a certain quirk after I installed my bmw performance exhaust which has caused a bit of a "turbo lag" on my engine performance i.e. the first few 100 rpms I can feel as if the engine is taking more air than it wants to only for new Star Trek warp drive effect pass 2,000-3,000 rpms. It would be a lot more fun if the effect is felt sooner and some linearity is restored. I wonder if he has a solution.

I'm quite interested in remapping the ECU on my E90 325i N52. Has Bernard set a date for his next KL trip? Am considering adding a GruppeM intake and / or exhaust before the tune.
Cheers!
Guna;461411 said:hey Juan. What do you drive and what do you have in it?pardon my ignorance
Guna;461466 said:Speaking of which(GruppeM),I was seriously considering it till I was advised by some that the improvement you get as opposed to the cost is just not worth it and so I ended up with just a drop in K&N filter. Before I get bombarded, please allow me to stress here that it was based mainly on value for money. So tell me guys, how good is GruppeM Ram air thingy?I hope you guys are gonna tell me that it's so damn good and that I should dish out this 5K plus and that I wil bel so happy with it that I would have a permanent grin from ear to ear.:1:

Juan Powerblow;461508 said:E46F has personal experience with the K&N drop in and according to him, it does squat. He later changed it to the BMW Performance Intake which he's pretty happy with. I learnt from his experience and went for the latter too. I'm very happy with it. :top:
Guna;461634 said:Juan,I'm wondering about this BMW Performance Intake thingy.Where and how much does it cost for my e60 530 m54?Is it a cold air intake, ram air?How much better would it be?Please enlighten me
Juan Powerblow;461653 said:Ooops. I didn't know what you drive earlier. BMW Performance items are not available for E60s.
