Guna,
Valid questions.
Bernard will be staying at One World which is beside One Utama mall.
We will do it there.

If you wanna know exactly then do a dyno.

Once the remap is done, you will go for a drive with Bernard and feedback to him if there is a difference or not. Give your input. What you like and what you dont like and get him to rectify it.

And yes it can be reverted to original mapping.

Guna, you can always call me since you got my number.

Roger that bro.I'm trying real hard to make coz You know I live quite a distance away. Will call you soon bro.Tx

Bro Feisaldzul,
I'm new to BM. Can remapping actually increase horsepower w/out adding new hardware?why can't
in the first place the car tuned to the max power before delivery by distributor??so much more to learn!

I am going to tell you a story. it started when I was introduced to my first Beemer, an E39, never knew what the fuss was about UDM until then. Unfortunately it was a 520, meaning, I was impressed, but my mech or tech friends will swing their heads, oh bro why you get a 2.2. After a while I felt the missing element missing from this fine chasis that holds the same M5. Thus began my quest.
For those who own 520 2.2, this is for you.
I began putting in stuff like bigger pulleys, KN filters, Pwr stabilizers, Velocity.
Velocity totally change the feel of the car, but after a while, you will realized the initial oomph fizzles out and you realized its still a 170hp 2.2 nature. Faster off the traffic stop, but lacking when in motion.
THEN MASTER BERNARD CAME ALONG!
One look at my car, he says, hey man this is a heavy car. I don't even need to tell him how I want it. It was obvious to him. I only told him what I did to the car. Downloaded my map, went to his room, and came back with 1 hr later. \
He did not want to tell me what he did, he rather I tell him how I felt after the test run.
One word: Sh*t punchy. IT was a different car. He made my car matched my Velocity and other components.
Torquey all the way. The speedo needle don't climb like it use to, it races and sprint to 160 like a big capacity car. With the velocity set to max, it felt really really fast. no more fizzling out, torque continues low down all the way to redline. WHo says you can't enjoy a 2.2! Totally, totally blown away! It feels and response just like a big capacity car.

satisfaction: 10+/10:top:

oh darn...i just came across this thread...have i missed it the session?

yup...u missed it. was a quite a number of cars who did the remap. i think everyone walked away very satisfied. I'll let the owners write their own reviews. But i think the biggest gainers were the 4.5 litre engines. one feedback was that the car felt like it was supercharged :top:

i think a BIG BIG thanks to Feizal for taking the time and effort to organise a session with nothing in it for him :top::top:

:top::top::top: Three cheers for Feisal for organising the sessions and Bernard for coming all the way to do it. My 325 Ci SMG now has torque throughout until 6500rpm. Tried it today just after the remap. It is just awesome. It is just a different car now. Defintely recommended.

Thanks guys.

oh mein...missed the good stuff....

Yeah bernard should come down again, already have another 2 more cars waiting in line...

Any E39 530 whom did the remap? how did your cars feel? or maybe everyones too busy finding excuses blasting up and down highways... :)

and the story continue....
after we did the tune and we went for test drive together with E39Vroom, my car was in front and Bernard was with me. After the traffic light, suddenly we saw E39Vroom just drove pass us like a a crazy horse went loose. overtaking all the cars like nobody business & the tail light just disappeared. Wow......:top::top: Well done, Bro!

You should have seen the big grin on his face when we came back from the test drive. Awesome!:love::love: Damn, should have brought the video camera to record down the moment of truth!:rock:

So next step Supercharge???

As for me, my ride (E60) came with Sprint Booster. Power is not really an issue for me but rather the jerkiness of the Sprint whenever the accelerator being pressed, especially at the city drive was really driving me nut! With the remap, the ride is so smooth, and the power is ever ready there for me to push further. I really impressed! I should say this is one of the money well spend mod for whoever like to push their ride to the next level.

Big thanks to Bro Feisaldzul for organising this fabulous tuning session, & of coarse big Tx to Bernard for sharing so much valuable info with us. Now I really kena RACUN liao lah...!

I miss it man, was schedule to tune my car and end up now at oversea for work................... congrat to those who tune ur car and happy about it. cheers

Actually, MASTER JERMAN introduced me to this scheme. Anyway, thanks to MASTER FEISALDZUL for organising and MASTER BERNARD for changing our lives. I am using sprint booster too. After the remap, surprisingly the combination of remapping and sprint booster not only proved to be lethal but also feels like marriage made in heaven. They complement each other very nicely. The selection of gears is spot on. Otherwise, it tends to hunt or drop unnecessarily.

From SG, just surfed into this Forum.

didnt know that you mates up North also go to BVO....

i've been toying with the idea of remapping my ECU too but never got to it.

looks like i got to talk to Bernard this weekend..

Several cars took time out to do the remapping with Bernard on Fri / Sat / Sun / Mon.

Some of the cars were:

645
e39 520
e60 525
e39 528
e46 325ci
e60 545
Mini Cooper S
e46 330

Will inform when Bernard has the chance to come down to KL again.

If you are interested to try the next time around, do PM me your number.

If you are curious but not sure if you wanna do it because you dont know what to expect from the outcome of the remapping, let Bernard remap and feel the difference for yourself.

Dear Sifus and gurus,

Any idea about the obit to be fix by BVO? Can Obit help to increase the car power, has anyone install this Obit.
Pls help to feedback. My car is e-60 525i... any recommendations or comment sifus?

Thanks.
