I am going to give my 2 cents worth of advice here :D
For Japanese M-Sport... it will come with semi-bucket sport seat which will be too expensive for those dealers to change. I don't think that they even have those seats here in Malaysia. It's leather on the side while fabric material in the middle..

what's so special for the semi bucket sport seat ???

This is the M-Sport original seats. At least in the UK. If you got the flat seat than its not M-Sport

(This picture is an M5 interior, but the M-sport one is similar to this)

Steering is also the same, but without the Tri-Colour stiching and the paddle shifts.

---> ok just found an actual M-Sport picture:

Look at the steering and the seats

Not always half leather...mostly full leather from the UK.

but the key ignition is the old one, right ? Some new key is without the metal, just like e-class.
Another thing is from salesman that ii cannot bring my car to autobavaria for service, if i buy recon e60 . Any comment ?

Bro,
I think most E60 starting from year 2006 comes with keyless go technology :top:
I think nowadays Auto Bavaria starts to accept recond car already.. after all, it means $$$ to them :D
Not necessarily Auto Bavaria, you can actually bring the car to any BMW specialists depending on where you purchase the car. To mention a few, M1 in Sg. Kayu Ara PJ & Segambut, MSpeed in USJ, etc... pretty sure that many forumers here can assist you in that!

Bro,
Note the word "Japanese" :D

Yes I do note the word Japanese, what I'm trying to say is, I agree with you that the Japanese are half leather since I dont know much about the Jap cars, and adding further info that the cars from UK are full leather. I have seen some that are half leathers from UK though, but not many

It's alright :top: I'm not that knowledgeable in UK specs E60 either! :D
Having said that, i still think that Japanese specs is better.. well, apart from its incompatiblity with Malaysia's FM frequency and also the GPS function. Low mileage, practically like new :top:

OUR currency drop? what a load of BS!! I am loving the shopping now coz other currencies drop..RM didnt really go up but others dropped.. I had a great time shopping overseas.. As of this morning , US$1=3.18 (last mth Used to be ard 3.5), euro1=4.25 (used to be around 5) £1=4.9 (Use2B 5.5) 100Yen= 3.38 (3.55) ... so, moral of story is dont be so gullible to the salesperson... doesnt hurt to wait n see if the price drops after F10 is out i guess.. if can , at least 525 lah...

Just bought 525i SE 06 UK spec, push start. Now waiting for paperwork before on the road. looking forward for the new ride, old ride 523i Uk spec. Once BMW, it will always be nothing less.

Hi bro..mind telling me how much you bought for the SE model? I went to AB on saturday morning, seems like the deal was not that great. Still hunting one though....:)

I'm just about to collect a recond UK spec 525i 04' in a couple of days, my first choice was actually a japan spec but radio issues and price redirected me to this UK spec. The cars has M sport bodykit and rims but the interior is somewhat low spec, I was told that it is an SE with M sport option. The seems to have 21k miles on the clock (which is odd for UK spec) but the interior looks very new with minimal wear and tear. The shop told me that the car would be serviced before delivery which includes only oil and filter change, i insisted that the gbox fluid is changed also but they told me that it is a lifetime fluid and not necessary to change plus this was confirmed by the owners manual which i downloaded over the net. Any advise would be greatly appreciated..

Hi Bro,
There is still a unit of BMW 525 M Sport UK Spec 2006 at Pantai Bharu(PB) selling about RM240K but I guess the price can go until RM230K after nego. PB giving one year warranty on engine & gearbox and I think a reliable dealer....UK Spec can easily check the actual model, owner, manu date, reg. date etc in the net.....

Have you guys considered CKD specs?. 2006 525 CKDs will probably cost the same. 2007 (new model) specs going for less than RM280k.

Is there a lot of power different in driving between 523i and 525i? I'm also considering to get one either 523i or 525i, still not decided which one to choose. :motz:

heard of increase in tax...they would sell higher price...im hunting one too...

I get to know is the alternator likely "kacau", do u think the dealer can change or its under warranty ??
i planning to bring mechanic to view the car for me as this my first to own th UDM...do u guy think that do i eed to do so???
