Any further details for the drive? I'm not joining the drive as I'm with family in Ipoh but will be joining the factory visit in Kulim and then come back to Ipoh

Appreciate if you could kindly provide the itinerary for Saturday i.e to return to KL
Normally, Saturday is free and easy based on my last visit to Kulim. It is a nightmare to convey with 20 cars in Penang
We usually gather with some cars/friends and tour Penang or stuff ourself silly with food.

Have a safe journey and welcome as a OM to the club.

Thanks for the clarification

I was actually referring specifically to the drive back i.e are we going to convoy back from Pg-KL or depart

Depart on your own or a few other cars as some may opt to stay an extra day or plan to leave early.

Definitely no convoy.

Thanks

Sorry if it sounds like I am raising a minor issue, but the main reason I am going is because my 12 y.o son wants to visit the plant.

On a positive note, kudos to the BCM organiser for trying to resolve this

Based on the visit in 2011, I think kid below the age of 12 were allowed but under strict supervision of the parent. Maybe they have changed the ruling since.
I remember writing to the Factory Manager asking to make an exception to the rule and it was accepted.
As mentioned by maccasel, he is asking for the permission so wait for the good news.

Here is a shot taken inside the factory on 2011 Official Visit to Kulim.

Thanks Jarance.

too late for me to cancel the plan as we made other family commitment in Pg that weekend (to coincide with the visit to Kulim).

So it looks like regardless of the outcome, we will join the drive, but perhaps will skip the factory visit

in any event, hope for a positive reply

Not to worry lar. Even though if the kids are not allow inside the factory, I am sure that the factory allow the kids to be inside the aircon room (meeting room) just outside the working area. That way, you can still tour the factory and the kids are in the aircon room.

So please wait for the latest update from macassel.
