i got question here about my windows Wiper, i realized on both of the wiper blade, the blade on the left(looking from inside the car) wipe the windscreen and stop right infront the driver view. i notice that the blade is leaving some sort of rubber sticky thing on the windscreen while the other blade is not.. so end up right infront my view, there are black rubber mark in straight line everytime after rain, i have try to clean the blade with tissues and wet cloth, seems the same too and happen same thing on the next rainny day! All sifu help, is this normal or i should go service and ask them change new blade for me since wiper also cover under maintenance warranty

I think you should just get them replaced jonathan. Sounds like they're disintegrating or melting.

No lah. Not acceptable to have the wipers leave black lines on the windscreen on any car, let alone a BMW! :)

I suffered from the same black stain but my guess is those are oil stain residual our windscreen pick up driving the E90 around, especially parked nearby "cha kui teow" stall.. :D The wiper just scrub from the central area and gather them at the edge where the wiper is fully extended.

.. and if you wash your car yourself, chances are the stain would still be there because we are too gentle when washing the windscreen.

.. and.. I might be wrong.. :D

Wiper blade tend to pick up dirt on the windscreen. Use a damp cloth to clean the wiper blade. In addition, you could also claybar windscreen. After claybar, windscreen should be smooth as silk.

May I know what do you mean by "Claybar windscreen" ? My wiper has been vibrating from new. Sg Besi service centre claimed no problem with my wiper and top up soap in water tank. It vibrates when the lubricating effect gone after few wipes during rain. I found the windscreen was rough when touching it with my palm, so tried cleaning it using dish washing soap, no effect, tried specialty windscreen cleaner, also not so good. So Du-lan, finally used the rough surface green-color dish washing cloth to scrub the screen. Finally the screen is smooth, but found there are lots of scratches after scrubbing the windscreen. Now wiper less vibrate, but still not silky smooth, got bit of rubbery noise.

Silver320, clearly ur windscreen has a lot of stubborn stain. It needs to be claybar. Meguiar has this clay kit Meguiar Clay Kit.

Claybar is like Plasticine. It soaked up all the contaminants on the surface that is "claybar". So, once windscreen is "claybar", it should be smooth like silk. In addition, claybar can b used on ka body before polishs.

On another note, any comments about the Rain-X product? Supposed to bead the water and run off the windscreen.

Wif claybar, no need rain-x. When windscreen is free of contaminant, water will flow up/down easily.
