New KUMHO ECSTA SPT KU31 265/35/18 for the rears. Hopefully these tyres would last me for a while since the treadwear are 320.

Bro how much did this tyre set you back? How is the performance and sound level? What were you using before?

Try the other options on there, the first time I did it also didnt light up. Try the Daytime driving light US1 & US2 and then go back to Danish. Maybe different LCM version does different things.

OK, re-coded on Daytime driving light US1. With this option, LED angel eyes & low beam lighted up when engine is turned on. Other options like European, Danish & US2 did not work.

nice car bro...really cheap consider what you get..but the tax is like buying two cars...damn!!

So far didnt really test the tyre yet. That night going up to Genting didnt dare to rempit as it was raining, and now just drove to work.

Noise level I cant really comment right now, I drove a Kenari around while the car is in workshop, so when switched back to BMW wahlauweh! So damn quiet hahaha.

Tyre was listed as RM530 each, I ordered a lesser tyre KU19 which is a comfort tyre at RM420, but they gave me this one at the same price due to their fault at ordering the wrong tyre. This KU31 is suppposed to be Kumho's performance tyre I was told.

It took some time to get the whole car painted, what with the raining season and all.

New adjuster, LED rings and polished headlights. The angel eyes are coded to be turned on automatically as DRLs (daytime driving lights)

I am undecided about the lips. Should the tips remain silverish or repainted to black?

The car is actually only 90% ready. There were some imperfection in the paintwork since I rushed the workshop to get the car out for the Annual Dinner, and there were a few items pending.

It will go back to the workshop next week for a couple of day for rectifying the remaining items.

bro, how do you code the LED light as DRL ? can share? and will the back light on as well or just the DRL on only.

My post report on re-coding of LCM lights on Daytime Driving Lights "US1". LED angel eyes & low beam and rear lights lighted up when engine is running.

Same here, could it be different SW version of LCM?

So nobody else's car DRL working with the 'Daytime Running Light Danish'?

Just to say hi to the friendly WUN 530 who honk me somewhere at Kota Damansara. I am on the way back to Penang.

BTw, do you guys have regular TT over the weekend so that if I am in KL then I can join.

From E39 Singapore Grey

Hi bro, it was nice seeing you and your car on late afternoon Saturday. Your car was unmistakenly recognisable, I knew it was yours the moment I saw it. It was in Sri Damansara, very near to my current house. Very clean too considering the weather. My car was full of dirt, just came back from the club drive to Raub that afternoon.

Yes we do have regular TT with the E39 folks, but mostly unplanned and on ad-hoc basis. Maybe store my number 019-2652830 and give me a call next time you're in town.

Btw my hometown is Sungai Petani.

Just tested and confirmed for my M5 only US1 works, with HL, Angel Eyes and tail lamps turned on.
The rest of the options didn't work, whether each selected individually or all selected (except US1 unchecked).

I'll try when I have time later and update you.

Seewai, sorry for confusing you and other guys, but I just recently found out that the angel eyes as daytime running lights are an extra function for the Intravee II and not the LCM. Sorry.

This is what info I can find bro, but its a US thing. Not sure if there's a different definition elsewhere..

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Treadwear_rating

And another one:

Treadwear Rating: The tread wear grade is a comparative numerical rating based on the wear rate of the tyre when tested under controlled conditions on a specified test course. For example, a tyre with a treadwear rating of 200 would wear twice as well on this test compared to a tyre graded 100. Keep in mind that the actual using conditions of tyres in most cases vary greatly from the specified test course and test conditions, therefore tyre wear rates are normally different from those indicated by the UTQG treadwear rating.

PS: Read elsewhere on the internet too, seems like the treadwear rating is a requirement in the US, but voluntary elsewhere in the world.
