Can we get it here in Malaysia?

You can order through Stuttgart, expect 2 months for it to arrive. I waited 2 months for my cross brace to arrived.

I find the pedal shifter works great during one unique situation. Every time I encounter such situation, I only wish I had a pedal shifter.. :(

The situation is when your tyre screeching turning a downward sloping bend or tightening bend, and require a downshift to slowdown, or shift the CG backwards but can't take your hand off the steering... darn.. :(

BMW Performance Steering Wheel + M3 Paddle shifters = RM7K
Location : Stuttgart

It was money well spend according to Bro Stanley....

Go for it then Jim! Tell us then what happened! Last time I enquired from AB and Quill. So much headache! Not just the steering wheel and paddle shifters...got to connect the paddle shifters to the gearbox and need such special wire...etc etc. the thing is...with all the torque the 320d puts out, you don't need the paddle shifters...it just storms ahead. Drive it around town for a day or two...try it in the DS gear mode...don't need paddle shifters!!

I would have thought that downshifting and decelerating by engine braking in mid-corner would still shift the CG forward regardless whether it's RWD or FWD? I think regardless of which method of braking, the CG will always shift forward on a car.

Ray, how's the DS mode vs auto mode, hvnt try before.....any different or only useful while in slope going down hill?

Was told still same technology but different material now. So any failure won't harm the engine as it used to. Best double check.

Nope, if it's the same, then I would have just tap the brake. Engine braking on RWD will slow down the rear wheel and shift the CG backwards, unlike FWD.

The DS mode is sports gear changing mode. You can drive using it and not bother changing gears. It changes on its own in a more spirited character. You got a good car, cklein...!Enjoy it...the best 320 car there is...the 320d! Winner of Whatcar of the year award 2010.:smokin:

I put the link up for sunnypuan, jaybigbang, andrewlim, and scweppes...all my close favourite chums in case they haven't seen it yet! Oh!! I forgot that foul-mouthed fellow...achtung too. The moderator should strike him off the forum for use of 4 letter words. :burnout:

The 320d is indeed a good buy if it comes with iDrive(which it doesn't) and if we have euro4 diesel..cuz with euro4,u cud remap the sucker and get almost 200bhp and 400Nm.

Good buy, but at 10-30kmh it sounds more like a Hilux than a BMW to an onlooker. Anyway, it'll be yesterday's news when the 325d and 335d arrive end of the year.

So the 325d and 335d won't sound like trucks?

Thx,Ray...try it later....would be useful when i climbing to genting....

No worries cklein..in fact, it'll be useful ALL-THE-TIME when you want to plough your way through the traffic! And fuel consumption goes up only 0.7L/100km....from my usual 7.1L/100km to 7.8L/100km. How much does 0.7L of diesel cost? Hmmmm....where's my calculator....MR1.19....I would say paying 1.19MR for 100km of DS fun is worth it, don't you think? i drove my friend's Golf GTI MK6 the other day...fuel consumption average...around 15-17L/100km! whoooooahhhh! Drinks petrol like mad!!! Go diesel, go smart!
