btw my 320d is drifting left, not so obvious on city streets but quite obvious on the highway. Should I do the alignment at Auto Bavaria's service center or somewhere outside? AB salesperson said there's alignment "warranty" but as was mentioned here several times, AB's service isn't exactly up to par.

Better do at official BMW service center bro...got warranty and they know best! So hi-tech now...I met the famous motoring editor YS Khong just 2 days ago and he was talking about BMW's positive front and negative rear wheels for understeer and oversteer etc...way above my head! But he says outside guys do it wrongly and will screw your car up big time! YS bought a C200 by the way...he says wife couldn't take the BMW's 320d suspension. It was either the 320d or the C200...95% time he needs the C class suspension, 5% time the 320d suspension...the C Class won. But I am feeling it's the wife that won...

Ah hahah. My wife and I used to drive a Peugeot/Naza 206 previously, it wasn't the most cushiony ride around so we both found the 320d sports suspension very similar. After reading the reviews and complaints online even she was wondering what the fuss is about because we seriously don't think it's that hard...

My only problem now is finding the right combination of car seats for the 3 kids...

Agreed, Go MPS Sunway and look for Manji ! Cost together with on wheel balance for the fronts is RM200. Expensive but I think it's money well spend.

I think the alignment warranty from AB is only valid for the first 1000 km from the moment you take the car from them.

The AB warranty is for the first 2000km and I can confirm that the results aren't great, I did it this afternoon and the drifting is less but still there. I'll try MPS next since they're much closer to my house than AB.

BMW UK will be providing official performance upgrade for the 320d soon :top: See attached pic

Hope BMW Malaysia will bring in the kit soon after so that can upgrade without waiting for the warranty to be over :)

Hopefully they do bring it in Zhul...thanks for the info! Did you snap that pic yourself in the UK? hey, are you going for the F10 launch this Friday? The Euro 4 fuel needed for this performance upgrade of the 320d? Maybe we can ask BMW.l

when we should have the 320d TT?

Lets meet at this Friday's F10 launch! zhul and astroboy are coming too...the 320d get-together!! astroboy drives a 320i though...but it'll be good to meet Mr Treasurer himself!

i'll be at the saturday launch.... poser only la.... how do you adjust the side bolster support, please? I think the one i have is malfunctioned. Other seat adjustments are okay

By using the toggle switch at the right corner of the driver's seat (and left corner of the passenger seat) If it doesn't work, either it's malfunctioning or you don't have that option.

found the switch. Doesn't work. BMW Malaysia will call me later... so tight around my waist and luckily i'm not "wide". :)

BMW Performance Power Kit 320d

So who here is going to add this:

BMW Performance Power Kit for 320d

BMW Performance power kit*
The BMW Performance power kit for the BMW 120d and BMW 320d further enhances the already-impressive performance of your vehicle's engine. It features a combination of software and hardware components that work together as a package. The engine tuning parameters have been modified to enhance output. However, this generates extra heat, and so to deal with this, the kit also includes a bigger intercooler and a higher-performance 600-watt fan. The result is an increase in maximum output from 130 to 145 kW, and in maximum torque from 350 to 390 Nm. The car now accelerates 0.5 seconds faster from 0 to 100 km/h, 0.8 seconds faster from 80 to 120 km/h in fourth gear, and 1.0 seconds faster from 80 to 120 km/h in fifth gear. Maximum speed is also 5 km/h* faster. Available for BMW 120d (130 kW/350Nm) from 03/2007.

Usually all this retrofitting whether paddle shifts or iDrive costs a bomb and is not worth it...Jim. Be happy with the 320d gearbox-it's fun enough...!
