Hi All, Recently i set out to buy a secondhand car. All went well, loan approved, puspakom went through but when the dealer wanted to transfer the car to my name they found out that the car was blacklisted by JPJ for having a different registration year in their records (which is 2007) compared to the chasis number registered which was in 2006. The only appointment available with JPJ is on the 18th of this month so till then i'll wait for the outcome. Need to ask all bros and sis out there if this is at all possible since the car was registered new by AB in 2006 and how suddenly now JPJ picked up upon the inconsistency? By the way seems that AB had to issue a letter to JPJ to help the dealer to rectify the matter.

Ini semua "lobang" and "kao tim" punya pasai!

Looks like some one tried to sell a 2006 car as 2007 car but didn't wipe the trail clean enough..

Curi makan tak cuci mulut..

Is it a replaced registration card? Perhaps the hanky panky was done during the swap by the previous owner/dealer..

I am just thinking out loud, hope its a mistake.. don't sue me.. :p

Hmm It may have something to do with the car registration number not being 'transferred' over properly...

this car is a yr 2006r car but with no plate starting with WS*.... which is a 2008 number and if not done properly this may have caused the problem

haih have to wait another week for inspection by JPJ and transfer (hopefully) :vollkommenauf:
