There is isurance for classic car with premium. But every thing must be original. Pan global and Rhb got. My car is under this policy.

cilaka betul. dude, find a diff place la to fix your car next time..
banyak gak forumer recommends this place in Batu Caves. They do work for AB. A bit pricey but good workmanship. They do mostly Bimmers so you don't have to worry about them understanding how the UDM works, mechanically and electronically.

Also, regarding my agent, he lives in Segambut, works in Putrajaya. He'll drop by my house or office for my insurance/roadtax stuff.

That time I didn't have much time to think and act bro... the inspector "suggested" this runner, this runner only deals with this bengkel, and there goes my car Eager sangat nak pegi Korea time tu...

After thinkin what happened to yr car, I'll feel worry if in future they doesn't allow older car for 1st party insurance. Most UDM enthusiast owns more than 10 yrs old car. We keep the car due to many reason. In fact we spent a lot of RM & effort in maintaining it. Not to mention mods & enhancement. Of course we want some protection if any mishap happens beyond our control. Any advice & opinion?

My problem wasn't related to insurance bro... only workmanship. My cost to repair the central-locking is only RM5, very insignificant. But, because the bengkel is incompetent, they costed me a lot of time, depression & anger. However, if you mod your car, insurance will only get it back to "factory setup"... all the mods don't count - HID, turbo, intercooler, etc, all will be replaced with standard equipments. Geng2 drift aku yg mod2 keta ni semua pakai 3rd party. So, kalau dah mod kaw-kaw, the best advice is... jadilah pemandu berhemah... don't get into any accidents :top:. Aku hari tu... mmg ada ternampak kelibat kembara tu, but I didn't bother to honk, slow down, etc. Terus je redah buat tak reti... Biasa la... orang bawak 7 silis ni mmg mcm tu la perangai... hehe ego

It all depands on how much you want to insure. Car subject for inspection.

Ketukmanship seems to be their core competents. At least one part is well done. However, the part where they took your car for a joyride as seen from the empty tank, and then breaking into your car and fuel cover when a RM5 fuse locked them out were jaw-droppingly amazing. They must have panicked. It sounds like a scene from jackass. Whenever a workshop is not a udm specialist, all kinds of wild-goose theories will come out when they can't fix things. Alarm lah, central locking unit lah.

Good to hear the worst is over. Comprehensive insurance sounds like a good idea at this point.

Ya... I guessed ketuk saja lah for them. Any other problem, don't expect them to do lah. Better bring the car out & get it fixed by relevant experts. Better, before sending any car, find good bmw workshop that does insurance claims. I'm not thinking to send the car again to them... maybe will get that umpil2 thing done during the next round of bodywork job.
