Guys,Was just wondering what kind of fuel consumption figures you guys are getting.I find it strange that i'm getting exactly the quoted manufacturers figures of 8.4km/L (combined cycle)....They know their engine so well or am i one of their average joe's???

If you worry about fuel consumption... shouldn't own a BMW lah :p

Not wori lor bro python...
Just wondering if i drive like the average joe cuz mine match the quoted average figures..
I tot i had a heavy right foot :burnout:

I know my foot extra heavy :p so I accept my fuel consumption, but still get about 12Litres per 100km in mixed driving with 318.
pure highway can get up to 15 last trip down to singapore.
trip back at 180 to 200 km/h not so good on consumption one :p

At least now i know my foot not as heavy as i thot!!!
I can still make mine heavier

bmrocket,

You should proud of yourself to have a nice blacken E90 with the "garang" sports rim. Nuthin to worry on fuel consumption seems you have the Ultimate Driving Machine in the highway. 200km/h can reach with ease then.

Thxs bro acidburn..
I'm vry proud of my baby..
Got her up to 220km on hwy to kuantan already :driver:

bro..
mine's averaged at about 9.1 km/l so far (mileage now 2800km)...
that's combination of S'pore's expressways, JB city driving and getting stuck at the Causeway on daily basis.

Wow.. I was averaging 12.3 ltr/100 kms for a while and now am at ~14 ltrs/100 kms. But my commute is full of traffic jams (live in Tropicana) and shorter trips without any highway burst of runs.

I'm guessing the FC will be much better without the heavy RFTs on the car!

hey E46F, i can imagine the traffic in & out of Tropicana...(paid couple of visits a year to my bro-in-law's place there)

normally i leave home very early in the morning (5.30-6.00 am) to avoid the persistently bad traffic conditions...could managed couple of burst runs too on the expressways !!

I'm doing about 13.4L/100 in my E92 323i at the moment but like E46F, my commutes are usually short in urban areas with lotsa stop go traffic.

May not be a fair comparison, but I get an average of 9.1L/100km from my 320i, according to my OBC. I travel daily between PJ and KL, and like everyone else getting stuck in traffic. :motz:

I'm geeting avrg 14.5 n sometime 15 L/100km on mine. Maybe cause i'm running 18" with RFT. Btw, do u guys normally drive on D or Sports mode?

Wah bro....9.1L/100km....very economical....my ride is the same as yours, but according to my OBC, it reflex 11.9L/100km....
My right foot isn't very heavy though...

Interesting enough, my ex E46 325i with the older M54 gets better FC than the supposedly more fuel efficient N52 on the E90. Also tranny is 6 spd vs 5 spd on the E46... and the E46 was on bigger 2pc 18' BMW wheels!

A good benchmark will be the difference of FC of the E46 318i 2.0 valvetronic vs. the E90 320i. I think the culprit is the RFT tyres.

Anyone on stock BMW wheels but on non-RFTs to compare your FC with the rest?

Eh thats pretty decent considering your's is a 330i with 258 ponies to feed. If only these ponies were on a perpetual diet!

I remember reading that the FC for the N52B25 and N52B30 is about the same. So I am not surprised if ken 330i FC is abt the same as the 325i.

I guess that's why in the US, when the sold the 325 it was a detuned 3.0, since FC is the same and they will get some economy of scale using N52B30.

I am averaging 8.5km/lit. Mix town driving. The FC is supposed to be better after run in, but I don't see it.

My E90 320i is averaging 11.9L/100km. My trips are half town driving and half highways, usually more than the speed limit :p
