Hi guys! got my 325i Msports E90 recently :38: ! and i heard/ know some fuel cleaners are good and scientifically proven to be so. Since this car is 07 and currently 6 years old i thought it'll be no harm to clean the fuel injectors/systems. ( Don't think the previous owner did it ) Oh and the mileage is currently 73km's. I have searched the forum for similar posts but their usually using E46 or older. :29:My question's are, 1) Would the E90 N52 engine cars be harmed when using these fuel cleaners etc etc? has anyone tried it? if so do comment/pm me your results! :101: 2) what brand/ model of fuel cleaners would i use? i heard there are genuine BMW ones( but mahal :O ), went ACE hardware they have STP COMPLETE FUEL SYSTEM CLEANER and some other brands and models like STP FUEL INJECTOR CLEANER etc etc. So many choices, any help? or are they all the same? That should be all for now. Thanks in advanced! don't want to harm the engine! ps. thought i'd ask here instead of BMW service centres/ specialists as i wanted user reviews not biased reviews. :top:

i've done some reading, and still many said don't do it. but i did the liqui moly jet clean thing... i felt it wasn't worth the rm300+ spent (didn't feel any difference in engine lightness/response/fuel efficiency), unless you're running a seasoned diesel engine.

Honestly I tried the jet clean thingy on my diesel and also Liqui moly diesel additives also not much difference.

Try putting in a full tank of Shell V-Racing (not V-Power) as it does clean the engine and injectors. Shell V-Racing can only be obtained at certain Shell stations only due to its pricing. The Shell station after Jalan Duta toll plaza (direction towards Selayang) has V-Racing.

i've heard of this method (supposedly suggested by someone's mechanic). any documented results?

fill up with ron97 or even better, V-Racing, and drive it like your stole it! I usually do it when i am driving on the highway, something like once a month.

Not really a huge fan of additives. i would rather spend the money on ron97 instead.

No need additives la. Generally our petrol quality is good and clean. Just drain your fuel tank and refill with the premium grade petrol and then press the following button and put your foot down. View attachment 32050

Hi Kevin, my first time using it when i suspect my injectors were clogged, since i do a lot of travelling in remote places (not all stations are reliable). Yes, felt the engine smoother, esp at low speed. Been using it every 10,000 km or so for the past 100,000 km. I use Sonax or STP. My car is 2007 E90 N52B25.

hey guys thanks for the quick info! at least there's 1 person who had tried it without blowing anything up. i guess i'll seek some opinions from specialists and then decide whether to pump 97 racing or just add the STP or BOTH  haha!

I poured a bottle of the cleaners into a 12 yo e39 and ended up with my fuel pump kaput hehe. I guess it depends on luck.
