Another venue would be Pelita [just behind Nailis], very ample parking in front of the place plus FREE parking.

Parking at Kayu is now chargable...

I'm staying in Ampang and Kayu Nasi Kandar would be more difficult to get parking. I think Pelita or Nailis would be better

there is another place. very very ample parking but not sure about the food and "eye dessert." The place is called Istana Bambu, on MRR2, opposite the Glaxo-Smith factory.

Alvin, I am not sure about this Friday [Aug 5th] but it seems that the August Official TT will be in Ampang on August 12 [as I've read in the Official TT thread], this arrangement has yet to be officially formalized tho'.

My guess is that, some would be there early to breakfast?

BC, the Official TT is schedule at Ampang TT.

Some of you would most probably break fast there.

I will make the annoucement soon.

BTW, can you please nominate a nice place where we will meet?

several suggestions from Ampang gang:

1. Nihonkan - near Ampang Point, not directly across Gleneagles Hospital Ampang
2. Paparich / Oldtown - Sri Rampai Business Park
3. Normal pad - Nailis (but parking and tables problem)
4. Normal pad 2 - Kayu Nasi Kanda (but parking and tables problem).

Keep the suggestions coming and will close off by end of the week.

:4: Melting Pot, Concorde Hotel. Tables n chairs aplenty and parking can valet :4:. .... Later for those late niters, can adjourned to HRC which is just a whistle away :top: ....

Down-side, NO buy 1 free 1 and bit too pricey to some .....

August Official TT in Ampang: Update #1

Update but still tentative, upon confirmation from JYazid:

BMWCM Official TT for the Month of August 2011.

Date: 12th August 2011
Time: from 9:30 pm onwards
Venue: Nihonkan / Paparich - Jalan Ampang (near Gleneagles / Ampang Point)

Detail of the place and map will be posted later.

For this month, the official TT will be held at the Ampang chapter to meet and support our
friends there. Please come and join us to meet the cool guys and gals there.

Next month (Sept), the OTT will be back at Borneo Rainforest. We shall choose another chapter for the
month of October.

For those unfamiliar with the new Paparich in Ampang. Hope the map below helps...

Paparich is tagged as 'A' in the map below, about 200 meters from Gleneagles Intan Medical Centre.

If you are coming from the direction of downrown KL/KLCC, DO NOT TURN IN to Paparich from across the road as its quite dangerous. Drive about 200 meters past Paparich where you'll see a flyover. Take the left lane and there'll be a 'U' turn under the flyover.
