But... Singapore is different. There are very strictly enforced import/taxation laws there, and they aren't fools for underdeclaration. Plus, you might pay alot for your car there, but, you do get world class road infrastructure. Though, strangely, unless you go for the top end, standard spec for the cars are very low.
 
Should also take into account our differing tax structure based on engine capacity no??
 
From what I gathered here, the base car prices are over declared and hence the exorbitant car prices in M'sia. Just go to any showroom here, check out the base prices + air conditioning + ICE + leather seats + carpets + bla blah and compared to the OMV listed by PML. Then we should roughly know how much "over price our vehicles are". My Singaporean friends told me PML usually make about S$10k/car sold. My guess is, the figure could be higher in M'sia :(
