My AFM is exatchly like in the attached image ( Jarance, have to borrow your pic ).The problem is, how do I attached aftermarket open pod air filter to the square input for the AFM ? Normal aftermarket open pod like HKS ( personally this is my favorite ), have round mounting, but the AFM only accept square mounting...So how do I fit that thing ? Any shop fabricate the mounting ?

you can put in the M30 AFM which is cylindrical both in and out..

or like you said, get the engineering shop to do it..
make a flange to mount on the 4 studs with a cyinder welded :) :)

the attachment for the AFM that i had before for the K&N fits the 6" K&N pods :) i think it's a K&N attachment..

You need to get aluminum shop to fabricate a round pipe about 3.5 inches to 4 inches in diameter. It should be covered flat on one end, then cut a square hole drill 4 holes for the 4 bold ends to bolt on to the AFM. I got a K&N fitler with that alum adapter made. It works well, I think my cone is 4 inches diameter at the mounting part. The filter looks nice.

That was using the M20 AFM. WHen I went to 535AFM, another longer filter was attached to the 2 3/4 inch round mount. The 535AFM needed a piggyback computer to do line and voltage adjustment. Also, pls build a heatshield around the area using alum sheets, use rivets to built attachment bracket and use insulation foam on the inside and above covering to keep the heat away!. Works well, when I tested mine, I used a digital temp probe to read the air-temp for over 2 weeks of use and minor adjustments.
Cones only add power at high-rpm. At low rpm, they are pretty useless, so not good for start/stop city traffic. Great at highway cruising. Good luck.
