520d End of Year sale -- is it worth it?

Anyway, just so happened that there is 1 unit of the colour combo that I wanted, plus my insurance already going to lapse for 2nd year come Feb 2012...so I just pulled the trigger and went for the 2011 stock. I already waited 6+ months (let go of my previous reserved unit), so the itch by now too much to bear

The event cars are pretty good value though -- if you can live with the number plates. Numbers start with "4" (like WWB 4649, etc) Mileage anywhere between 184km to 300km. And they all smell and look brand new. RM 316k is 3 years BSRI. RM 321k for 5 years BSRI.

just enjoy the car , do not think of the the value depreciation . if you do you live with agony everyday. just enjoy the car everyday. dun look back. for 520d you get back the money from petrol price. since you save in long run due to diesel.

well said. Mine only over 2 months old but miss out on the offers. However already enjoy for more than 11k km hehehe. Already untung lah.

So now eagerly awaiting for my 520d, huhu...I opined that 10k savings
today will be more or less the same as 20k in 5 years time(in present value).
Furthermore, the additional 5 years BSRI was the icing to top it off. I'm
sure at least I'll have hassle free enjoyment throughout my ownership of the car.
Well, that's what I called pure "JOY"!

I got mine from AB Glenmarie. For 520d it's 10k + 5 yrs
BSRI wherelse for 523i it's 15k! Promo until 31/12/11.
Better act fast if you're planning to get one.

Thanks for the info. I was in AB Glenmarie yesterday and they only gave me 10k + 5 yrs. Who is your salesman? Did you get the loan from BMW credit? What loan interest did you get?

Today is D day. I'm still unsure if I am moving over the D side!

But somehow my instincts told me that D will be a better car in every sense. It's just
just need a change in mindset. Unless you want to wait for 520i next year at 368k?
520d has many positive reviews all over the world and I know made the right choice.
Go ahead and do it if your heart tells you to.

You all have a opps!-maybe 1 hour left if they close at 8pm...its 7pm now. So, make up your minds!!!! Forget about deals and discounts and 5 years BSRI, just go and do it! There is enough kiasuness in this world, you all must agree? Got a slight better deal than that when i went to the dealership yest, slightly more cash discount and free 3M tint..but thats about it

Sorry could you advise which dealer gave you this deal... I am kinda interested. I am not so worried about depreciation as I intend to hold car for 5 years and I was a bit apprehensive about servicing cost after the 3 years (when they offered only 3 years BSRI package).
