Hey guys...I've decided to start a thread to document the modding journey of my beloved BMW (special shoutout to Silverbullet for being so encouraging [emoji106]) and perhaps can get some feedback/advice from the awesome ppl on this forum too. :)

Brief introduction of myself:
My name is Jason and I'm from Sabah (hence the Sabah number plate), moved to KL 3 years in pursuit of a better career. Currently I reside in Mont Kiara area.

Didn't really take many pics when I first got the car back in October...this is the only pic I managed to find before I did some mod.

The car is a mineral grey 2014 f32 428i sport line with red interior. Everything was pretty much stock

The first mod on this car was getting new shoes and socks for the baby.

19'inch 437M wheels (m3/m4 wheels), 225 front and 255 rear, Michelin PSS. Really like the minimal spoke and curve concave look of this wheel. Planning to get a even fatter rear tyre next time...maybe 275? But Not sure if it will fit...My ultimate goal is to make the tyre sits as flush as possible with the fender...currently still got a lot of gap.

Next up.....gonna teach the baby how to speak, stand, and stop :)

So a few weeks later, after the car had sorta "broken in", I decided to do some major mods :)...so the first thing came to my mine was the exhaust! I like cars that make nice exhaust notes....but unfortunately being a 4 banger, my options are limited. I've researched high and low...saw quad pipe exhaust, tho it looks cool, but not my cup of tea..I prefer twin pipes like the 335/435..but it's non existence for 428 unless I do a conversion.[emoji36] so I played safe and went for m performance exhaust...

Visually, it doesn't look much, not much drama going on compared to those sexy quad or twin pipes. But it does sound quite good, in my opinion..not too loud(cool start is damn loud tho) and gives a nice growl when idling. The exhaust really gives the car some characteristics with the crackles and pops, especially at low rpm.
(Tips: maximum crackles and pops can be achieved when the car is driven in Sport mode(gear lever to the left) together with Eco mode at low speed.

My dream is to get akrapovic or Armytrix...but I don't think akra does anything for 428 and I have yet to find out who sells Armytrix in Malaysia.

After teaching the baby how to speak...I moved on to stand and stop.

So I wanted to give the car a nice drop, low enough to be different than stock and high enough to tackle Malaysia's notorious potholes, Mont Kiara's stupidly many speed bumps and my Condo's crazily angled carpark ramp. At that time, I didn't want to compromise the ride comfort. I've tried m performance suspension before, and it was really stiff, almost unbearable when going through small speed bumps. So I played safe again, kept the stock shock absorber and change the springs only.

I remember seeing this crazy slammed audi at the workshop too...really an eye opener

Superbbb bro. Keep 'em coming. Bolih bah kalo kau :D

Didn't know u did so many mods already on the ride. Probably one of the best and tastefully done 4-series I've seen around. Congrats for being the first 4er owner to start up a thread on his ride. Surely will benefit other F30/F32 enthusiasts here.

Thanks for the kind word guys [emoji5]️... Will post more later after work.

haha DG, you can read my mind....I'm currently thinking of whether to change to m sport body kit onot since my front bumper has been damaged and needs a replacement.. But I kinda like the current bumper look on the 4 series..subtly stylish and unique, in my opinion

Here's some photos of the body kit (Bumped into this gorgeous the other day..wonder if the owner is on this forum too.)

What do you guys think? Change or no change?

If finance is available, change pls...I agree the stock bodykit is unique, but M Sport bodykit looks more stylish..it will be a good partner for your boot spoiler.. :64: :64: :64:

Change your grill to the m4 grill and also change your number plate font! That should do the trick in my opinion

You asked for it Mr. 4 Banger so here comes the racun :D

I would go for a complete M4 front bumper with a nice and practical lower lips to complement the look, the 4-series is designed to look sharp and mean:

Next would be a more prolific rear bumper & diffuser, to cover the big-fat oversized arse (imo :D) and make it a bit attractive. Vorsteiner style:

To finish it off, convert the whole car to a slight widebody look. Definitely will be one of a kind and a super sports car.

More to come from us bro :D :D :D

Wahhh.... this is evil....hahah...but it's ok...cause I think my poison is quite deep already [emoji23][emoji23] ...Keep them coming [emoji48]

The M4 body kit is really scrumptious....too bad non-available yet I think...need to wait a few more months for the Taiwanese to make the replica. Btw, the last m4 photo is sexy as hell mannnnn.[emoji106][emoji106]

Maybe I'll start with the grill 1st...my dilemma now is whether to get a full black m4 type grill or the two-tones one (like my current one).

Blackout version:

Two tone version:

I find the two-tone one to look sharper and compliments the wheels and the headlights...the black one does look more aggressive but a full black grill doesn't go well with the mineral grey imo...

Any recommendation on which font to use?[emoji16]

Euro font is real popular among Contis. Looks good but too common these days. Entirely up to you bro ; just drop by an accessory shop ;)
