Merc's new 258hp 1.8 ltr 4 banger

When I read about this is the latest Merc mag, it thought it was amazing. The new DiesOtto engine is a 4 banger 1.8 ltr which at low revs works like a diesel using compression to ignite the fuel/air and at higher revs a gasoline engine with spark plugs coming into play. Also has twin turbochargers and an electric motor which charges under braking to give additional power and torque. An amazing feat. Could be the engine of the future... BMW had better watch out.. this engine could just be the thing to get MB to the top.i mean,just look at it!!!! its got everything a petrol head wants,and more!! just look at the stats..1.8,250+bhp,44+mpgs and ultra low emissions..

first time i saw the artivle a few months back,i thought it was just a fantasy..but upon reading more and more of it,it kinda made sense.

now,combine this with a dual-clutch box,i'll sell my soul to get a piece of it..
