Hi Kuntakinte,

Got to ask... How much for the C250 and how much you asking for the A6 Hybrid?

Apparently, the c250 is expected to be fully kitted and estimated price is 320k for CBU.

as it is, my final decision is still fluid and its a toss between the 328i GT and C250

If for any reason the C250 is not the 2ltr turbo 211hp version then I will choose the 328i GT. The puny 1.8 ltr with 180hp just won't cut it.

In any event, I'll put up my A6 hybrid in the market soon. I think someone in the market for a pre-owned 328i or 520d, should seriously consider this luxuriously spec-ed alternative. From the choices in mudah, I hv to say mine must be if not one of the better ones, it's definitely comparatively lower mileage one, with extra accesories. I'm looking at 280k

Nothing wrong with the car really as it's just simply that I am definitely a sports sedan guy, much more than I am an exec limo fella.

Apparently, the new c class has attracted nearly 400 bookings in hap Seng alone

So yeah, 328i GT vs C250 - decisions, decisions.......

Bro the W205 C250 will truly be full spec? Coz stuff like Distronic Plus, Airmatic suspension, Active Lane Keeping Assist, 360 degree camera, Wrong Way Alert, etc are all very expensive stuff and for RM320k I'd say it'll be a bargain if its truly full spec as even a E400 does not have all these...

As for the engine it will definitely be the 208hp 2.0 engine which is found on the E250 but sadly it'll come with the same 7 speed gearbox and not the all new 9 speed one.

Well, if you head over to Mercedes Thailand website, features included as 'standard equipment' in the C250 AMG line which retailed for the equivalent of RM 320k here and these will give a good idea of what's expected to be available here. Anyway, some of those features are simply nice to haves but I will want the ambient lighting. Agility select, on screen display and most importantly the 2.0 engine with 211 hp. The others like air package, lane departure etc will be a bonus

And I'm not a fan of too many gears. The a6 hybrid has 8 speeds but in comfort mode, it always finds itself caught in the wrong gear. Sports mode corrects the problem.

But this C class is a real class act in every way. Give me the 2.0 211hp engine and they can have my money

Hi kuntakinte,

Did the merc boys mentioned when the new C will be launch for all to see and also have a go at it?

It's still very fluid. Expected to launch sometime in sept with deliveries commencing October

SA said Malaysia will most probably get the C180 (156hp, 1.6 engine) and a C250 (211 hp, 2.0 engine) initially.

However, in singapore there is also the C200 which is a 184hp, 300 nm, 2.0 engine)

The C200 and C250 may just cannibilise one another. Therefore, there's a remote chance that Merc may also launch the C200 and not the C250

If the C250 is not available, I will definitely not choose the C200 which then leaves me with the option of either keeping my A6h or jump ship to 328i GT. Had another look at it a couple of days ago - the interior looked a little dated after looking at the C class videos. Haha

Next month is very close. Shall wait to see the C in the metal. Happy hunting.

new to this forum as i just got a F34 recently... was wondering if anyone knows where i could get a black/carbon kidney grills for 3GT? Thanks
