328i - Top Speed Achieved ? With Stock equipment / RON 95 ?

Wow ... 256 kmh. Very impressive speed. Change the springs la. Maybe with firmer springs the car will be more settled. Perhaps then can exceed 260 kmh a bit?

During the Melandak Drive, I met with an OM who said that he has hit 260km/h several times with his F30 328i.

It puzzled me since I thot that the 328 is electronically limited to 250km/h.. as I neither have the skills nor CF balls to test it myself.

So Marco, did u remove the top speed limitation or am I mistaken?

I can't reveal his name as he wants to be low key. But he always plays with 328 and 334. Only give away is d obscene black smoke. Hehe.

Did not realise that F30 supposed to have a speed limiter. Interesting. So at least we know the F30 328 can touch 260 kmh. Wonder what the 335 would reach?

Best place I seen so far to test top speed is at that waterfall before Ipoh on NSH. Very straight and long. I am sure can almost max out there la. No AES also ... Just pedal to the metal with our UDM.

Well , two days ago , i hit about 256kmh , actually just a whisker below the 260kmh mark on the speedometer. The speed
warning indicator came on ( mine is set to 250kmh)..

The feeling was AWESOME !!!!!!!!!!

Well, i guess we know that the 328i with stock equipment and ron 95 can exceed 250kmh...


The only complaint i have about the 328i in this context is the bounciness.... which can be a little unnerving ...

No limiter? if got then your speedo lari. Changed your rims? that can have effect on the speedo.

160 is nothing la. People want to see 260 or more. Faster than aeroplane also good. You did not plonk in a L500 engine ar?

What is the objective of this thread? I mean seriously..you want to test out what the factory spec say? Pushing beyond 250km/h which supposively electronically limited?

At the expense of general public some more? If you all did this at closed circuit or salt lake, I can understand that but on public road where someone mother, father, son, daughter, etc also on including yours?

While I understand the curiosity and the dying needs to know certain thing, but seriously I don't think one need to eat Sh1t to know one..

I hope the moderator will add in some weight on this and lest the silent general audiences, CG, OM alike are thinking what is the thread representing the brand about or the profile of the ownership...and we have another thread of texting while speeding too..

Agree with gamenoob. Safer place like Sepang is there for a reason. Trash your car there, max it out and no one would question. But to show how fast you went on public roads, and then encourage (either directly or indirectly)......thats just plain idiotic.

I have to disagree with Gendong. In Sepang the F30 328 cannot exceed 190 kmh so you see you are off topic. This thread is about MAX SPEED ON RON 95. At Sepang its still short of 70 kmh.

Gamenoob ... Nothing wrong la trying to see how fast a car can go. I mean its a norm in this forum. You must realise last time there was a few mentions that e90 can hit 250 kmh when going to or back from some Johor outing. So please la, don't spoil the fun. This is something that the UDMs are keen to do. Mods do not bother so why you are concerned? Its fun to boast how fast the car can go mah.

I can support tIANcI comment. Even trained pros can only bring the stock cars on the longest straight at 185 - 190 kmh before they brake real hard. They can go about 200 km/h but after that eat tyres and rumput
