I guess once in a while the engine need high speed, the question is how and where to do it. To become an overtaking freak would be a disservice to the public, same thing speeding in a busy highway. I reckon if there is an isolated and empty straight road somewhere, that would be perfect.

I am driving to Spore this x-man and thinking if I would go beyond the norm on the plus highway...but then again I guess I won't, not for my sake, but for others

What ? He has got a 328 diesel? Are such models available? I know there is a 335d. Heard BMW is scrapping all diesel models for the 3 series and just focusing on petrol / hybrid for the 3 series....

diesel very sellable in europe market thus diesel always there thats why got M550dx out. for those market.

speed kill , does not mean high speed , drive at 70 km/h also can get you killed if you are not careful , and all the tech in bmw will not safe you. conclusion drive safe not fast or slow.

220 is effortless... 240 is easy but take a little bit of effort... It's 250 that is challenging as its quite bouncy once u reach 240 and try to keep your foot still fully floored on the pedal... Am on Ron95... And yea tried this on an empty stretch of highway with practically no traffic on a nice Sunday noon

Diff between speedo and gps speed

Anyone knows why the difference?

Speedos are never 100% accurate. There is always a viariation built in. I suspect all this while its so that the manufacturer cannot be sued when an owner is given a ticket for a car that is doing 85 on a 80 limit whilst the speedo says 80. Its been a long time that BMW and other manufacturers have the speedo show about 5-10 kmh more than what it actually is.

Urban legend has it that connected drive Internet function is activated either at zero speed or max speed... Facebook parsing still works though from 1 km/h up to 249km/h
