hmmm lots of civic drivers here... I am one too! i am on my fourth civic now, i think i will always have a civic in the house... never breaks down, low maintenance, sporty looks and good second hand value. Drove a friends 320i and bmw hands down better in all aspect except maybe fuel economy.
I used to have a Civic as well, 2006 model, but I had a lot of niggling problems with my steering rack, air con compressor and gearbox :(

Zul ... dengar one guy in KL done a FD2 at Sunway. There is something on YouTube but no dyno. With the intercooler unit boleh charge up extra 200HP lor ... Kekekekekeee ... I missed the last batch of FD2 la, tot can last. End up buying BMW. Again, BMW got more comfort too. Still rindu FD2 la ... manyak lindu.

Got few turbocharged FD2 lurking the streets of KL now..even saw 1 Mugen supercharger fitted on a Type-R...last time when driving my FD2 everything feels good but once holding the UDM steering, FD2 now feels like s#$t!

Its a different world after all :p

haha! I know many of my E90 kaki are Civic converts.. in the Jap arena, when it comes to HP and handling, Honda always has the upper hand. If I must pick a Honda, it'll be a Civic too.. or DC5.. :top:

1. Steering - the UDM is stiffer and I have to really turn it, especially when doing a U turn. The Civic's steering is more "loose".

Yes, the steering is much heavier, which gives me better feeling.
However, whether it's heavy or heavier, it's also subject to your driving position.
With a proper driving position, i find every thing, including the window mirror buttons are within reach.
If you are sitting far behind with elbow straight, it's obviously extremely heaving for you to do parking.

With a proper diriving position, I find myself to have a better view, better control over things especially when you are driving it agressively.
Thanks to the training!

Kolamp ... But the stock FD2 will still whack a stock 325 on the track. Hehehe ...

cis kolamp! habis madu sepah dibuang. aha.
if u dunno me yet, i am the cbd guy who came to see u frequently in Oman last time. LoL

Haiya... many Wiralution whack E90 on the straight or even in corners if suspension set up correctly but to qualify for ultimate driving machine, it takes a lot more than just going fast. The premium price BMW owners pay goes beyond brand premium, HP and torque numbers.

Try a stock standard Type-R to do constant 200kph from JB to KL.. I tell u, it's not fun. On the contrary, the BMW driver doing the same speed, would probably refuse to get out from the car when reach KL and wanting to carry on the journey. Seriously, I dunno how else to explain. :4:

Depending on the track, if its an Autocross event, a stock kelisa can be faster than a 325i. A 350hp Mivec turbo on a satria will be faster than some ferraris in a straight line. But do you want to drive one or take corners in one?

put it this way.. a 325 driver can still pick his nostrils or fiddle with the radio at 180kmh and can still converse with his fellow passengers.

The civic guy has to fully concentrate while holding the steering with his both hands firmly.

And he can't hear anything from his speakers or his passengers..

Get the idea?

cheers

This is funny ... when pitting a car against another all of a sudden one team will only pick on the strengths of its own fav and then use that as the trump card. :) I seen CRZ v BMW even which is funny as hell to see CRZ owners using their trump cards against a beemer. Hehehehee ...

Agree with tIANcI, my daily driver is still a Toyota 1.3L timing chained VVTi 7-seater RWD MPV, it's has loads of trump cards against any BMW u wanna pitch at it.. haha!

tIANcI, on track d civic gonna brake early bcoz of their 'sponge' brakes thats d time our UDM can overtake ekekekekekee

huskar3399, ciss ko pon sampai cni!!...welcome to UDM bro!! ekekekekee

Hi People.

3. Responsiveness - Civic is much better is this area. When I floor in accelerator, I can really feel the kick, instantly. The UDM is a heavier car by almost 200kgs, so the response will be a tad slower. But then again, I am holding back until my new car hits 2,000 kms for the running in .... can't wait.

Nobody tailgates me anymore !!!!! Muahahahahahha!

Err...wuts ur plate number again?

3. Responsive - U should try 6 potter dude! then u can feel the responsive :) :top:
