Hi, all bro here. For 2007 X5 model should be the E70, and mine is E53 which is the previous model.

The E70 come with latest iDrive controller, and available third-row seating. The new engines are matched with a new electronically controlled six-speed automatic and an upgraded Dynamic xDrive AWD system.
Which engine are you getting? 3.0 or 4.8?

Any warranty from the dealer? if not, better get your mec to check the car. You may probably need to spend >10k to get it done for tip top condition. :(

bro noctilux,

the one i'm looking at is the 3.0 e70...with the new gear stick...drives awesome...also tried the cayenne 3.6...but still tink the e70 have the edge...or maybe i'm biased...hehehe..

X5...Nice choice bro...
2nd hand dealer offering 1 year warranty?
Seems like a good deal...if reputable dealer & written B&W...

i've been quoted about RM 390k-RM400k

The price range is about right for re-cond specs. Some are offering slightly lower but I am not sure whether they come with one year warranty. For comparison, AB was offering around RM430-450k for used 2008 models. All the best!.

Bro, suggest you speak to your friendly "runners".

Yes it can be done. I bought a pre-reg E90 from AB and got a runner to do the interchange of number plates. No problem. Only thing is you have to authorise the runner or AB sales person to drive your (new) car to puspakom to get it checked before interchange.

It can only be done if its a new no. A number which has already been on another vehicle can only go to an UNREG vehicle.

i have an existing number to transfer. Looks like a no go with pre-regs.. bummer

recently launched (facelift) x5 comes with 3.0t and 3.5l...priced between rm580k-590k before discount.

Is there 3.5l X5?

The new 2010 X5 E70 is badged 3.5si but it's still a 3 liter inline 6 engine, with twin turbo. Externally it's just minor cosmetics changes like the position of the fog lights and slightly larger air intakes on the front bumper.

oh yes forgot to mention, another important 'upgrade' is the transmission. It now uses the new 8 speed trasmission, the same one in the F10.
