Seriously I'm proud with my X5!! A lot of complain about X i can read in d forum. But i still very proud... x5 didnt ride like a suv more like a sport sedan.. mine is d e53 sport with 19 wheels, d car is not tat bumpy stiill in my acceptance. i love my ride coz of d engine roar, good handling car n also feel like a fr car as well!! before purchase d ride i had tried serveral model like harrier, tiguan n etc...but cant get d satisfaction... after i tried d x5 so make up my mind to get it... although a lot of negative feedback on this model maybe im a freak of bmw fanz... coz most my family own few bimmer... good maintain of d car will bring u many years of joy owning it... i used to have a bmw 520 year make 1982,from my father's hand to me, keeping d car more than 20 years with good maintainance still serve me n my family very well without any serious problem!! d car have given to a friend who love my 520 on 2007 since they are no resale value, my friend still keep d car till now with good condition!! so maybe this also make my decision as well...last 2 week my dad suddenly borrow my car for outstation, later tat nite he came back and ask me how much i bought d car, then i ask him y? u know wat he told me? he said d car is very powerful somemore very stable when entering corner in high speed... no doubt my dad had poison by my bimmer, after few days one of d sales man from car dealer called me regarding my dad inquiry for X6!! im shock when i hear it... i quickly called my dad, he said since i own a x5 e53 he is not going to buy e70 so he change his mind to x6... wow man i'm so happy n jealous too... haha... my dad's x6 is on d way !! hope he enjoy it as well...BMW rocks!!:rock:

Here I am thinking to get one...but still doing research as worried bout its heavy maintenance, air suspension, gearbox etc.... Its a different ball game from my 2 old BMWs I suppose...

I think I will be proud of it when I own one :) Have driven a few but short distance only and never really own it before so cant comment much. Am looking at the first batch of X5 if anything, should be 2001 if i am not mistaken.

The X is a great car! No doubts about it! Eujax just go get one....Am lovin every bits of it. The engine is full of juice and it purrs like a cat.

Do you know why I am "beemer-back"? Here is my submission....

In the short driving years of just 28 years so far I have had:

1. Datsun 120Y
2. Corolla KE20
3. Iswara 1.5
4. Wira 1.6
5. Honda Accord SM4
6. Perdana V6
7. Camry 2.2GX
8. Altis 1.8
9. BMW 523i E39 (my First Beemer!!!!!)
10. Cefiro 2.0
11. Benz E200K W210
12. Estima 2.4 (existing)
13. BMW 520i E60 (2nd Beemer!!!!!)
14. Camry 2.4V (existing)
15. BMW X5 3.0i (existing)

Yes, I am a car-nut. Look, I am back with a Beemer! And I am looking forward to a E60 530i, if life is kind.

Its the handling, roadholding and a truly driver orientated car if I may add. Seriously, after having driven and owned many cars, you will know a good car when you drive one. The X is a man's car (no offence, ladies)

The X is a car you stand on the side-step, door open, wearing your Levis, black leather jacket and boots and a fag in your hand (although you may not smoke). You know what I mean? Picturesque! Truly a testosterone pumping SUV.......

I bought my car the moment I saw it at the dealer and never looked back...don't think too much. Its like golf, you aim and take your swing, don't wait too long. One thing I must say, this club/forum has lots of beemer fans, tech and mech sifus and plenty of information about our cars, if not every bit(s) of it. Somehow or rather a solution is probably just a few clicks away.

I am feeling at home here driving a Beemer, I hope you do...too

I love cars, especially good cars like BMW but I just don't think I can ever be "proud" of my cars, any car at all.

Spend more on cars than a house. No I'm not proud but just love cars

Not the best practise from financial planning point of view, but who's counting anyway? hehehe

not to worry bro.. i'm sure a lot of people are in the same boat as yours hehehe

Im proud of my X3 although some scepticalities about it before the plunge. No regrets whatsoever as of now. As for me Ex's..hmmm, cant really distinguish or remember any of them....haha

Tested the 4x4 capabilities of my X5 at a farm today. Road was filled with mud, potholes, sand, stones and everything else natural and can be found in a farm.

The feeling was superb and the car handles like what it was made to be. Good roadholding, solid and stable. The engine was willing and never hesitated even though we were climbing high.

Due to the weight, the car sank into the mud and slipped a bit but the front tyres gained enough traction and move on easily. Can actually feel the car's 4x4 system taking control of the situation as I steered.

While going downhill, I just pressed the HDC and let go of the brake pedal and the car would descent properly. Wow, everything works, not bad for a 8 year old car!
