i always thought it was timing-belt... How much does it cost for timing-belt change and periodically how often to change? IS it like other cars 80K or so?
Just need you advise on the first Service - What should i generally look for,
in terms of proper service to make sure I have no probs later?

jarance;632783 said:ichi82, send your car back to the workshop where you done the position switch for re-checking.
based on my experience, there should be no-extra charge if your new problem is due to the part recently changed.
See Mr. Lee the workshop manager or Ah Meng if you have any problem.

jarance;632893 said:If it is the torque converter gone, then it has nothing to do with your GB servicing where you change the ATF and filter.
The torque converter could be damaged due to the failing of the GB mounting bushing.
I got the T/C changed for 2nd hand and it OK. Also check the aux pump when you changed the T/C.
BTW, why the coolant comes out?
jarance;633143 said:ichi82, my problem was the aux pump for the GB. The copper bushing failed when I did a slam down and overtaking many car.
ATF oil was gushing out from the GB because of the higher pressure.
The workshop that did my repair (change the pump) notice that there was still some leak when they assemble
back the GB. They found it was due to the T/C sleeve was slight worn out.
If your GB temperature is high, better check the thermostat at the heat exchanger located in the radiator.
If your T/C sleeve is worn out, check the GB mounting bushing. This item are wear and tear part
which need to be replaced periodically.
