If you're used to spending on cars, then its not so much of a culture shock la... Can just go with it.
Because i'm spending a lot of money on my other toy car, hence i try not to spend to much on maintaining my daily car..

I kinda got bored of my current daily car, and wanted something faster and bigger for my daily use. And then my brother come over telling me he wants to upgrade and sell his E46... Thats why now also gatal on the E46.. :D

Actually, the E46 325i/328i is not much fun as a daily driver if you drive it around KL City.

1) Heavy and sluggish off the line in stop and go traffic
2) Guzzles a whole lot more gas than Jap 4 bangers
3) Heavier feel, steering, etc compared to Jap cars
4) A/C aint that cold, and if you set it really cold, the auxilary engine fan kicks in all the time making the car feel more sluggish and loud from the fan noise
5) Black interior (assiming your is), is quite stressful in day time traffic jam. Cream/beige is more ahh.. comfy

Hence, I prefer to zip around in the Jazz in midday KL traffic.

bro E46Fanatic

u got the point also

sumtime i feel my right foot n both hand so tired after driving 1-2 hours jam in KL

:(

Yup, agreed that the car is heavy and sluggish on the stop and go..

Steering feel i think is spot on and not that heavy.. Before i got my Hyundai Accent i used to drive my Satria Gti daily that had no power steering cause used it in track race too so it was way heavier than the E46.

Air cond on the BMW is not very cold.. Tried that and hope i will be able to live up with it.

My current accent is a very good car for its price and had been very reliable, but i kinda bored of it and whenever i travel further or outstation, the car really struggles to maintain 180km/h.

I did consider a Jap performance car, but for the price i'm paying i can get a conti car like BMW which i believe most of you will think its more prestiguos..

Furthermore with the weight of the BMW, i'm pretty sure the ride is more compiliant compare with a Jap performance car.

But Jap car seem to be easier maintain and more reliable... This one concern about maintainance hence of my post here...

Got a couple more days to go before i need to confirm with my brother whether i'm taking up his offer of his BMW E46 328....

or keep ur accent ...since she treats u so nice

get a "mistress" UDM as weekend ride

ekekek

Thanks guys for your advise and comments.

After much considerations, I'm buying over my brother's BMW E46 328 CKD. Should be taking the car on next tuesday. :)

He will be handing me his maintainance bills so that i can see what have been replaced so far on the E46.

Anyone know where I can source cheaper Genuine BMW Parts cause i'm planning to buy the major parts myself and give my mechanic to fix up the car?

Hi Chris,

Expansion tank is unavoidable due to it's plastic in nature. Averagely it can last 3-7 years. Most of us encounter crack on this Exp tank & the whole radiator need to be changed as it comes in one! Cost from RM600- RM1000 depending on type of car.

On gearbox, I have to pass on to other sifus ;)
expansion tank = rm300 only.... at
