Windshield oxidised - many cases?

Guys, my front windshield has turned 'dirty' on the edges. It looks like the film in-between the glass plate has oxidized. Are there many occurrences experienced by forumers? Mine is 325i sport 2007 and bought from ingress in 2009.Any advice is very much appreciated.

This is due to water seepage into the sandwich layers of your laminated windscreen. This is a manufacturing defect. Your car should still be under warranty so claim it from them.
