Dear all,

i have a slight whistling noise when my speed touches 120kmh and above. It appears to be coming from the front passenger door. Car model is BMW 520d F10.

I check and there are 2 rubber lining on the door and 1 rubber lining that sticks to the body of the car. I have changed the rubber lining that sticks to the body but sounds persists.

Anyone had this problem and managed to resolved it? Would appreciate your kind advise.

Had this problem on my e46 last time..... caused by the door frame was a bit ajar, a gap that could have been caused by a trapped object when closing the door (later remembered issue came about after replacing a window regulator, so mech might hv accidentally pushed/pulled it out. and it also leaked during heavy heavy rain.

Solution: pull the window frame inwards to 'close' the gap. issue solve.... well for me at least.

tried pushing the window frame in but whistling sound still persist at speeds above 80kmh. Anyone has other advice or experience on how to kill this whistling ghost?

Try buy those B shape rubber insulation wind noise soundproof bro, and put it underneath the present rubber lining at the door and also underneath rubber lining at the body. It comes with 3M adhesive. Put it tight underneath. Drastically improve my E90 soundnoise.
