Hi Does anyone have a problem with wind noise? speeds above 60 kph, a whistling noise enters the cabin from all the doors,bmw tech told me that there is no defect in the car and its likely to be from the size of the side mirrors,cannot do anything...........idrive system cannot display Chinese character,how to make telephone calls from contact listed in Chinese? and how to select Chinese songs in the pen drive ?

There is no way to update the CHAMP2 HU as there is no HDD inside

Unless you are willing to flash your whole car to China Mainland firmware and everything will be in Chinese including the manual handbook.

hey brother i also decide buy bmw 316i ,,, this model still got wind noise ? i thought was only 320i up untill 328i model ? means 316i also got problem cannot buy ? i saw many people complain f30 many problem and knocking sound and rusted seat.... issit true ? all sifu please help

Far as I am aware, rusted seat issue has come to pass. As for wind noise, certainly there is some but not to levels that will irritate me. I was a "lucky" winner with the taillamp coming loose within 4 days of delivery. Fortunately, it was rectified within 30 minutes at the SC where it was completed replaced.

I dont seem to have problems reading chinese characters on my contact list and songs, i m using 328i msport. Must be the fonts used.

Would you mind to share the diagnostic results from SA which concluded the root cause is the side mirror part replacement?

Mine has been checked for wind noise as well, but without replacing anything, and the wind noise still persist.
