HI Guys just want share with all of you before buying a GPS devices alternative way is PDA built in GPS. I find it more used full and very cheap even i can carry around...now i using it everyday GPS with my SMART PHONE and running Garmin using Malsing map very accurate direction for KL and Singaporeroad.Actually Nuri is a hardware whereby running Garmin software so our PDA with built in GPS can be run Garmin too and best using Malsing Map more updated if compare with running Make king.....If you guys want to know more about Garmin pls go to http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/index.php Same future even Nuri dun have if compare with using PDA running a GARMIN for example using PEER POINT is used full example when your wife car breakdown in somewhere but she dun know how to direct you come to the place but if both of you using GPS phone she actually CAN CAPTURE HER LOCATION THAN SEND IT TO YOU BY PEER POINT send it by using sms so once you receive it will auto open your GPS phone you will know where your wife location and let the GPS bring you there...for Nuri dun have this feature because NUri cannot send sms...too bad pay higher price but less feature than PDA phone...WHAT PDA PHONE WITH GPS ADVANTAGES??? NUVI JUST CANT DO IT!!! 1) WE CAN CARRY AROUND WITH US ANYWHERE AND ANYTIME WE CONSIDER CARRY PHONE AND GPS AT ONE HARDWARE....2)EASY TO UPGRADE EVEN ONLINE CAN FREE UPGRADE LATEST MAP AT THIS WEBSITE http://www.malsingmaps.com/forums/index.php 3)YOUR FRIENDS OR YOUR LOVE ONE CAN PEER POINT WITH SMS YOU WHERE HIS OR HER NOW LOCATED AT AND YOU CAN FIND THEM ONCE RECEIVE IT PEER POINT SMS LETS GPS BRING YOU THERE...4)when waiting your clients you can open GPS to find out which location you plan to go later..or look for the direction...5)EVEN IF YOU CHANGE PDA PHONE NO NEED TO WORRIED JUST USING BACK YOUR PREVIOUS MICRO SD CARD AND PLUG IN YOUR NEW DEVICE THAN ENJOY AGAIN GPS WORLD!!!AS SIMPLE AS THAT WHY PAY MORE UNLESS YOUR ALL GUY SO RICH..WHY NOT DO SAME CONTRIBUTE THOSE LESS FORTUNATE!!!!:63:

Knowing more about pda with gps....very usedful!!!

If all bimmers using PDA with built in GPS will be benefits for other bimmers too.
EXAMPLE if your all guys want to share nice place for eating, workshop, sparepart shops and any places in Malaysia or Singapore your all guy can post the location add or position that you can capture from your GPS phone...
like N 03 7.079 E 101 43.319 if you fill in into GPS under POSITION than you will the place i share with actualy is a famous Bihun fish in Cheras..

For all Bimmer also can send PEER POINT or SEND LOCATION from their phone to other person they wish to share some interested places...

Hope you all folks fully understand how its works and fuction for GPS...
GPS not only direct you to destiny you wish to go but if we know how to used about the feature
actually is very usedful for sharing the location too like we always share a good works shop we can post it the location GPS position.

I want share true story how helpful when we have a GPS.
this is true story what happen to my friends when one day he travelling quite late night and suddenly fuel warning light blinking worse he not familiar about this places, how far to find the petrol station he not sure but luckily he using his GPS find the nearest petrol station and guide him to the nearest petrol station before the fuel run out...

Any question that you guy want to know can PM me as long as i know i will share with...:stupido2:

If you are selling your old Garmin Nuvi... do let me know as I do have PDA wz GPS for exchange! Hahaha

I wouldn't jump to conclusion which is better. I have both and my PDA phone takes quite a while to lock on to satelites. To me, it would mean that there are times when I would already reached my destination before my pda phone (with Garmin Mobile XT) actually starts working. Maybe this is due to my pda phone being slow but another scenario is that when my pda does work, the navigation will be interrupted when a call comes in. Besides that, a dedicated unit tends to have bigger screen with large input buttons to allow quick input with minimum distraction. I am highlighting this simply because my pda (Samsung i780) has a relatively smaller screen and thus input while on the go can be quite fiddly. Now, considering the points mentioned, I am still very much attached to nuvi simply because i can get signal fairly quick and also the navigation is not interrupted when a call comes in. This is just my humble personal opinion and I hope my input is useful when considering your options. Cheers.

:)

Not bad bro if you can do without MMS and a couple of other features...

Sorry, I will quote my summary of my posting in a different forum "I will not go out and buy a swiss army knife to cut vegetable".

If I'm going to the track, I buy myself a track car.
