I have been behind my fellow 320d cars during our 250km/hr drives....very occasionally, you get a very light wisp of soot expelled. It is NOT thick black smoke-please!

Hahaha doc. Lighten up. Its all in jest. This thread has gone down d drain, so just poking fun b4 it gets deleted again. Hehe.

As for d smoke, to be fair, I've not seen d 320d's belching smoke mini bus style yet. But for the 530d, geez. It's like they want to smoke u to death literally. Lol.

:listen: .... dont overkill la bro .... its all in the type (brand) of diesel you are putting in your ride bro :4:.. My ride is almost 6 yrs old and had clocked more than 300k+ in milage. Do tagged behind me and see if can see any black soot sooting at you to death :4::4::4: ....
Even in morning start-up, no soot/smoke is seen sooting from the behind compare to the NA engine morning (cold) start-up :4:....

I personally believe that, that is the difference between a well maintained car and a work horse without much care for regular oil change and maintenance.

Wow! 300k+ mileage without any issue! I'm impressed. My ride is approx. 50k++ and I'm worried once warranty is over.. things will begin to surface... but I do maintain my car religiously as it gives me a piece of mind... Hope that I can reached 100k++ without any serious issue surfacing... Love my NA ride... (of course nothing la compared to the turbo-charged brothers in this forum) :p

hahaha..fair enough dzul. well maintained rides usually are in tip top shape. too bad majority of normal owners just dont care.

As long as you take good care of it, it will give return of your investment handsomely bro. Periodic maintenance is a must and if possible, come in a bit earlier than norm to have the car maintain. If your ride is the oil burner, have the intake manifold checked and service, if possible, after every 3 oil change.

Cheers :4: :top: ....

Thats the sad part bro, they just dont give a hoot abt the maintenance part and when trouble do cropped up .... they blame the engine la, this la that la and what not :(:(:....

:listen:..there were issues bro :4: but mainly due to my lack of concern in having the car periodically service. I thrased n thrashed the car so much till it brokedown one fine day ... an expensive lesson learnt but I learn :4: .....
These days I do still T&T the car like always but never forgetting to come in for proper maintenance to ensure its always in TT condition :top:...
