Wow Exige S!! I have that kind of salary (sort of), what kind of monthly can you do for me...typically :D I love the Exige

POwerbook, imho i think u should get an e46 330i.. The main reason being it is more powerful than 328i eventhough i am driving a 328i myself.. I got the 328i becos there wasnt any 330i at that time.. An e46 is reliable and make sure you get a well maintained one.. The road tax is about the same for both cars (RM1600+).. But the road tax for 325i is much much cheaper.. Maintenance for UDM is not that expensive actually.. As long as u take good care of it and the previous owner does not trash his/her car.. Then with the balance of ur monthly income, u can mod ur car to the max!! And sit back and enjoy your new pride and joy!!

Powerbook reminds me of myself 5 years ago LOL. I think what powerbook mention is quite true, sometimes u have to be stupid to be smart.

What you will find out after commiting to the RM5k a month installment is that:
1) Novelty of a new BMW wears off
2) Car ages, and maintenance goes up
3) Your investment drops like a rock in value in depreciation (at least 25-30k per year or 2-3k a month)
4) You wonder if the $$$ could have been better used at the end, when the car is old and bland.

But I guess you have to be there to experience it. At 29 and 30 being able to afford a new BMW on your own even with a loan feels great, and you feel that you've achieved something in life. After the initial purchase and the experience, I think you'll look at buying your cars cash and wont be so excited anymore about the novelty of owning a new BMW :p

interesting thread.. Powerbook RM12K in not much nowadays.. keep your money (invest elsewhere) and get good pre-owned car.. IMHO an E46 is a nice car to drive..

I like you too..:D

buy an e46 m3 and be done with it.
i doubt u will regret getting it although the price may depreciate in a few years.
u've got the money so why not?
of course, for the same price range, u may be better off with a porsche perhaps or some other supercar model of the same price range?
cheers and the best of luck. whatever it is, i think you have plenty of options so let the heart do the picking.

Hahahaha! Outasight man! After all that debate in your absence! :p

Yeah, imho one should live life to the full even if one takes a few risks now and then. So what if some decisions are regretable? At least you're living to the hilt and you'll never regret that!

I like you too :)

After reading the thread I wonder how much ur guys earning in average?:p

Anyway powerbook congrat on yr new purchase. Now its time for new bodykit, rims, suspension etc etc.

hey bro, congratulation for ur E90 and way to go with 3series!

Btw, welcome to the club, do join us for TT

hitting the significant 3 O and being married, i reckon one has to make as 'much' (or more) to live comfortably nowadays

it is not how much one makes, it is how one knows what/when/where to invest

any objections to the above are welcome :)
