I agree with that too. Everyone talks about 2-4k repair bills everytime they visit the workshop, but not prepared to pay RM2077.50 once a year for the roadtax. RM1200 per year to enjoy the 530i over the 525i, I think its worth every cent. I certainly am happy with it.

That said, however, it is apparent that good condition 530i's are quite rare in the market these days. Looks like I bought the right car back home from UK.

Brader, still got one or two good condition one , but not in the market only. Hehe

Well said bro, apart from that, there's also slightly higher fuel consumption due to a heavier body. A supercharged B30 manual tranny was my dream ride.

Yes, after that is 525i.

2002 is mfg date or reg date? Recond, CBU or CKD?

This is oolork did before he bought his e46: Bought a diagnostic scanner (cost only RM180 now) and brought the scanner to each car so he can get the car detail before go further.

btw, relate back to this thread on buying e39. i understand BMW only produce spare parts for 15 years after they stop production of any particular model. is that means e39 spare parts will be difficult to get after 2018? (2003 + 15 yrs). for those older version like e34, any difficulties in getting spare parts?

Why worry now? Its 2011, 2018 is 7 years away. Even then the spare parts would not be depleted straight away. Buy now and worry later.

Better enjoy it before its too late..i had an e34 for a few years n never had any issues on the parts. Sometimes needed to wait for a day or two for the parts from BA. So far the parts are available in the market..no worries bro

Even Mizhan E30 changed almost everything new. Even if BMW stop production it will continue by OEM manufacturer for another 25 years if I'm not mistaken.

I am the 1 which bought the BMW scanner 1.4 with RM101. That moment i bought it is 33USD not including the shipment. I bought from a China seller. But she sometime at China and sometime at Hong Kong. This time she send the item from Hong Kong.
