If I were you, I won't wait till the cows come home. There was this article recently about imported luxury cars collecting dust in the yards. If the AP issue isn't resolved soon, your car maybe not be delivered before CNY. ABs hands are tied wrt this issue, unless yours is a CKD. Do they make the sports version of 525i locally?

I believe all the 525i are local assembles. The imported ones were the 520i, 530i and 530d.

BMW Malaysia have just switched from Cartrade to Sime Darby to import in all the cars from 1 Jan 2006. So yes, I'm sure many of the E90 are sitting at the port pending arguments and negotiations and politics.....

Can you sound system support the Apple, ipod? I recently bought an ipod video and wondering whether i can connect it to my new car. Moreover, i intend to change my handphone to a newer phone from Sony Ericsson, P990i and keep my figure crossed that it is compatible with my car's system.

E60 BT tends to be compatible with rather old BT phones. There is a high change it won't work with 990 because I know it has problems with 900/910. Problems meaning one can't get the full functions.

On the iPod video. Do you want to show video in the iDrive? If yes, then you need a video switch made for E60 (reads, need to hack the system a bit but mainly on power). If it's just audio, just get the aux in from BMW.

Hi goldfish. It is a good choice for you to choose the E60 a s a ride for you and somemore M sport. Wow! I would recommend you to Singapore because they have more experiance in in high end cars. I have a friend in Singapore who has done up a Porche or a Ferarri. Even my car sound system is been fixed by him. If you are interested, his name is Siaw Ma and his number is +6596424209. I tinted RikeCool 85% black.


Back in Australia when i was studying there, i had some audio gear that i took out and brought home with me. Im considering putting in but i really dont want to void the warranty. Especially since i opted for the maintenance free plan that also gets void if i change anything. Anything that isnt changed at AB.


Supposed to be out this coming week. The sale of my current ride is delaying things. Really getting on my nerves. In an effort to increase my trade in, the salesman tried to find an individual buyer instead of trading in to AB. Now thats whats holding me back but his loan has been approved and im just doing the transfer this Monday, get my disbursement and pass it on to AB. Then i better get the damn car!
