Great news guys. The management of Auto Bavaria has finally reverted after finalisation with management of their assembly plant. The service centre and assembly plant visit is now OFFICIALLY CONFIRMED as follows :
Venue : BMW Assembly Plant (Shah Alam)
AMI Plant in Shah Alam Industrial Park, Jalan Sesiku,
40000 Shah Alam
Date : Thursday, 6 March 2008
Time : 1.45pm - 6.00pm
Only 40 official members (with valid '08 membership cards) will be allowed to attend this official event. So those who have yet to renew your membership, you have the next few days to do so. Or simply bring along RM150 on that day itself. Important : Priority will be given to those who have been members since 2007. New members who wish to join this official outing will be given a chance provided their application is approved and there is space left.
The plan is for everyone to proceed direct to the assembly plant in Shah Alam. After the assembly plant visit, all will then convoy back to Glenmarie showroom. You may want to congregate somewhere before that and convoy there.
Here is the proposed agenda by AB :
2pm : Arrival and registration at AMI Plant
2.30pm : Tour of plant (participants will be split into smaller groups)
3.30pm : Q&A
3.40pm : Leave for Auto Bavaria Glenmarie
==> as per telecon with Fabien, to coordinate on transportation
as AB Glenmarie has limited parking space due to renovation works.
==> Either car pool from AMI, or from nearest parking area like
Pan Pac. AB Glen should be able to reserve about 8 car parking space
4.00pm : Arrival at AB Glen with welcome remarks.
4.15pm : Orientation and Tour of service area.
==> We will take you "behind the scenes" to areas like our
parts store, paint and body shop, service bays and diagnostics room.
==> Apart from seeing what goes on, we will highlight some of
the processes to give your members better understanding of a service flow.
5.15pm : Tour ends
5.15pm : Activities for members (organised by AB Glen)
5.30pm : Refreshments
6.00pm : Ends
