Official Visit to Auto Bavaria Glenmarie Service Centre & Shah Alam Assembly Plant Ladies & gentlemen,Dear members. This is what most of us have been waiting for and it's finally becoming a reality after endless rounds of discussion with the top management of Auto Bavaria. They finally decided to grant us this once in a lifetime opportunity. being tenacious definitely has its reward.Unfortunately, we do not have much time to take advantage of this factory tour and it has to be conducted on a weekday as the assembly plant does not receive any visitors on weekends.Gathering Point : Auto Bavaria GlenmarieDate : Thursday, 24th January 2008 (TBC)Time : 2.00pm - 5.00pm (TBC)The tour will be divided into 2 sections and 2 groups. The 1st group will convoy to the assembly plant in Shah Alam while the 2nd group remains in Glenmarie for a guided tour around their service centre. Then interchange. Once both groups have completed the tours, we will regroup in AB Glenmarie for some simple refreshments and some Q&A with the AB personnels. We are also trying to work out some discounts on the original BMW merchandise for club members on that day. Strictly limited to first 40 Pax. Pls make sure you can attend before putting in your name. Just spoke to the management of AB on the update of the service centre cum assembly plant visit.


Due to time constraint and the rush to deliver cars for CNY, the Tour will now be postponed to end Feb 2008. Furthermore, members sign-up for the official event hasn't been very encouraging. Only 18 names so far. The committee will continue to liaise with AB to confirm the date for this visit. This will give members more time to plan their timing as well.

Meanwhile, I will get more details as to whether cameras are allowed in the assembly plant.
