Hahaha alrite thanks for the warm welcome. I dont think so, kereta aku kat M-Scope Batu Caves, tgh rebuild gearbox. Taktau la kalau mechanic dia joyride :62::62: hope not hehe

Quite a damage also la, but then i requested M-Scope to change almost everything new so that in the future i can at least prevent probability of gearbox failure again. Price is on the high side , but with 1 year full warranty:top:. Okay jugak lah. So they working on my gearbox, promises its ready by tmr afternoon with excellent gearbox rebuild.

Anyway making promises is much simpler than keeping one. So i see bout it tmr, and will update my thread hehe

bro achupz, can share the actual price u spent to rebuild? my manual tranny i think also not veri good liao, or clutch? i dunno...always hard to engage and got rough noise when engaging...need to set up a budget

I spend 7k for the rebuild as my gearbox is 5 speed UK / Zf gearbox. To rebuild kind of expensive. I changed around 80% of the parts inside. If 100% is 12k. But the the other 20% is still okay and it will last as its not part of the mechanical thingy that operates the gearbox. The price is i agree is shocking but then i have surveyed a few gearbox specialist workshop and i figured i put my confidence on this particular workshop as they can give 1 year warranty, clean workshop and looks professional (hehe)

About manual tranny im not so sure, maybe you can drop by the workshop tmr. Can check your gearbox see what they say lah. Im oso not very good, just learned bout gearbox a lilttle bit since my gearbox failure. adehh

If not get a halfcut gearbox, warranty 2 weeks to 1 month but then u never know the condition inside of the gearbox, if u got unlucky you might visit a gearbox specialist after the short warranty expired

As far as i concerned, there are no more NEW production of E36 gearbox. The available one is used, half cut and recond gearbox. But if got please advise the details, i think many of the forumer might be interested.

Got my car yesterday, 100% satisfied! more power and smoother gear change than before.

the gearbox i also not sure new or recon, last time didnt ask clearly.
So later u got go tt? only 5 cars now...
