Bross,

I'm currently using BBS S001 RFT 225/45/17 which come together when i get my F30. I'm planning to change a new wheels with front 245/40/18 and rear 265/35/18.

Is that size ok?

What brand of tyre is recommend?

Can anyone share?

thanks,

Is your car an M-sport (stagerred wheels) or the sport line (square setup)?

As for me, I am using 245/40/18 on stock style 397 wheels, a square setup. If you are like me, the 265s will not fit on the style 397 wheel.

Hi Bro Jason,

397 wheel is 18*8 +34 rite? Mine is with 225/45R18 and thinking to change to 245/40R18 like yours. What do you think? will it be too short? and how much wider?

Thank you.

The stock 397 is indeed 18x8. The 245/40R18 is only slightly shorter compared to stock. At the speedo, an indicated 110kph will be ~107kph on the GPS. So no big issues.

On the width dept, it is 2cm wider 245mm vs 225mm. Visually, the 245 is definitely looks wider. But more importantly to me, the 245's shoulder of the tire presets a more "square" cross section when mounted on 8in wide wheels compared to the rounder/stretched edge of the 225 tires.

However its arguable how much more effective contact patch you gain with the wider tires.

thanks,

Size wise should be ok.

i think you mean specific tyre product? not brand?

for specific product the best for daily use would be Michelin Pilot Super Sport.

Alternatively, Goodyear Eagle F1, Ass2, Bridgestone Potenza S001.

Dont get those Korean, Indonesia or China brands. dodgy quality

I am torn between putting AD08R 245/40R18 square setup. Or upgrade staggered to 19inch SSR GTV02 +35 offset, front 8.5 235/35 and rear 9.5 265/40 with PSS.

Yes, i'm actually asking for the specific tyre product. Thanks for your recommendation. How about Bridgestone RE002 and how about continental product? Can anyone share the product as well?
