Dear All,I must admist that i never checked my tyre pressure as i relied heavily on the OBD warning for any puncture. However yesterday upon checking i found my tyre pressure was set at 200kpa by my mech.. while on the door it was something around 230kpaJust wonder whether the recommended air pressure (which i believe for original RFT tyres) is still valid and can be used on my curren non RFT tyres...?fyi my tyre size arefront 225/45/r17rear 255/40/r17

Dear All,

fyi my tyre size are

front 225/45/r17
rear 255/40/r17

I am using 240kPa front and back , same sizes.

jim2106 - that's the same question I've been asking in forums, tire shops etc... no one has answered my question conclusively...

I've used lower pressures (than the rft tire pressures) on 2 other cars and noticed that my tires wear prematurely... On my current car I'm using the (insanely high - mine's 19" rims) pressure recommended by BMW for rft tires (on my non-rft), to try out...

Please let me know if you get any definitetive answers !
