Claims to give peak HP gain of 14hp and peak torque gain of about 17.9Nm while saving 16.8kg of weight vs OEM exhaust. I suppose you would have to pair it with the Vorsteiner diffuser.
Looks darn good I have to say.

Still a hurtful amount!

Mine has been...so far so good!

I'm a bit concerned on the sound though i.e. will it drown out the music or disrupt conversations in the car etc. What's your thoughts?

I first installed both the BMW performance resonator and silencer, which it comes in a set. I felt the sound of droning is too loud for cruising speed (2000 to 3000 RPM range), though spirited driving is good. There is also not much low end torque but highend torque is good.
Then last week I went back to Fred's place and have the BMW performance resonator replaced with the stock BMW resonator. This combination is great! Good and better low end torque, quiet and smoother. Only on spirited driving you can hear the exhaust sound from the inside.
I believe European spec cars like ours is only good with the BMW performance silencer and not the whole exhaust set, which is meant for the US market. Maybe because our engine doesn't produce enough low end torque to support too much of a free flow exhaust!

But, I find the solution pretty strange i.e. the part about maybe the engine doesn't produce enough low end torque to benefit from a freer flow exhaust. Maybe, I'm missing something on my physics 101. E46F, heeeeeelp! By right, the improved air flow which comes with bmw performance should permeate throughout the rev range via improved throttle response. The deficiency you pointed out may apply to forced induction but it shouldn't with an aftermarket exhaust with freer air flow.
Anyway, I guess I just have to take the plunge and try it for myself.
BTW, can I ask what's the mileage on your car now? The reason is, if your car is very new i.e. below 10,000 kms, it's still a tight engine and prone to feeling a bit different every day. From my own experience with the E46 and E92 which I bought spanking new, consistent engine performance tends to come in only after 10,000 kms.
